Nats and Mets on losing streaks. What am I doing wrong?

I guess that will end tonight.

Here's hoping misters Zimmerman and Wright both have great nights!

1. Having a Boston avvie
Is probably not helping....:P. Nats are losing squeakers when they were winning them earlier. I guess everything balances out.

2. I was listening to the Mets game on WFAN last night, and Howie...
Rose brought up an interesting point.

The Mets, especially when Santana is on the mound, are providing absolutely no offense to back-up the pitchers.
When the starters pitch well, the Mets are lucky to get 1 or 2 runs total.

When the offense is hot, the pitching does a piss-poor job and gives up 6 or 7 runs.

It's getting pretty frustrating.

3. Sounds like what the Red Sox have been doing...
...or, rather, not doing.

4. The Red Sox doing poorly is my only...
joy right about now.

If the Mets are doing poorly and causing me misery, the Red Sox sure as hell had better be doing bad as well, because I hate hearing my in-laws gloat about how awesome the Sawx are.

5. Well then, I hope we win it all again this year!
Odds are the Sox will continue to stink it up. How's Jason Bay doing for you? Seriously, I haven't heard.

9. Too bad Jason Bay didn't stay with the Pirates. He would still be putting
up awesome numbers!

:D

11. I like Jason...I think he would still be on God's Own Chosen and Beloved Team
if his agent wasn't such a dick.

7. It's weird. I remember that the Mets scored runs for Gooden, but not as much for
other pitchers. That's why I think the W-L statistic for pitchers isn't worth all that much.

I remember Randy Johnson - who had better numbers than Clemens in EVERY category but 'wins' so, Clemens, playing for the Yankees won the Cy Young when Johnson truly deserved it.

Our Mets are one of those teams that has always needed a team psychiatrist.

8. Rooting for the Nats and Mets, maybe?
The Mets should be better than they are, but the Nats are doing well for what they have to work with.

13. This Senators fan couldn't go without for 30+ years. I worked in the Mets AAA ballpark
in Norfolk, hence the Met fandom. I lived in New England, hence the Sox being my American League team.

'86 was a cruel joke.

15. I understand.
If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. I'm glad to see baseball back in Washington, and for what they have to work with, they're having a good season so far. I'm looking forward to seeing Strassburg. I hear he may be up by the beginning of June.

10. I understand Wright is out tonight
You'll have to root for Zim, although he and Wright put together are no match for The Panda.

16. The Nats ran into the Cardinals
They actually played good last night, until that late inning home run. And they're back on the winning side by beating the Mets tonight:-)

Mets get an inside the park HR, a TRIPLE play and they still lose to the Nats. LOL.
