1. These five...
Jerry Rice
Emmitt Smith
Cortez Kennedy
Tim Brown
Chris Doleman

There's no way Terrell Davis or Steve Tasker belong in the HOF. And probably not Roger Craig either.

4. Your First Two I Go With
I might actually add Craig, but i think Russ Grimm, Ray Guy, and Shannon Sharpe belong.

So, i'll go Rice, Smith, Grimm, Guy, and Sharpe.

7. I think almost everyone on the list belongs in the Hall, actually.
I just picked who I feel are the 5 most deserving. I considered switching out Brown for Grimm, but I didn't want to look like TOO much of a homer.

11. I thought of putting him in
but with only 5 choices I didn't have enough and there are so many good candidates. I'm aware of Grimm because he is the O-line coach of the Cards.

12. Yeah I don't think it's a coincidence
That the Cards offense and oline has improved since he arrived. If Dan Snyder has ANY sense, he should be Washington's next HC. I think he's ready ..

3. How many votes? 5?
Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 03:30 AM by JonLP24
Jerry Rice
Cris Carter
Tim Brown
Aeneas Williams
Emmitt Smith

I will add down the road Terrell Davis should be in the hall of fame. Is 1 of 4(or 5?) backs to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. His first four years rushing(6,413) is third all time and ranks 1 in touchdowns(56). He has won a league MVP, a Super Bowl MVP and pretty much without Davis the Broncos don't get those two Super Bowls. Of course his career was shortened by a major injury but so was Gale Sayers. Also not only that Doak Walker is in the Professional Hall of Fame with 1,520 rushing yards. I'm not saying just threw anyone in there but Terrell Davis before the serious injuries was about as productive as any running back in history in those 4 season.

I also wanted to add Shannon Sharp(he would be my #6) but there are so many good candidates.

Rice
Reed
Carter
Craig
Dent
Qualifier. I have met Roger Craig and know him to be a good man. And between him, Rice, Montana, and especially Walsh, they changed football.
Tasker should also be HoF worthy because there was, and is, no better special teams player.
On edit- Oops. Forgot about Emmitt Smith. This list is one of the toughest ever and for once, I don't envy Hall of Fame voters. Prediction-Craig gets left off this time.

16. Gotta go with the locals on the list
Roger Craig, Jerry Rice and Ray Guy.

Guy was simply the best punter ever.

I'll give a nod to the enemy and name Emmitt Smith.

And, in reference to another thread this weekend, and because I'm old enough to remember when helped keep Bart Starr's uniform clean every Sunday and kicked field goals and PATs for the Packers when Paul Hornung couldn't, I'll give a shout out to Jerry Kramer. Why is he not in the Hall of Fame?

If I named Art Modell, I guess I would have to drop any plans to go to Cleveland any time soon.

BWAHAHA. Truer words were never spoken!

*Though in the interest of fairness there is a wing of the Cleveland Clinic named after him for a good reason.

20. You wanna see a Ravens fan screw himself into the ceiling?
Just mention that Baltimore got the Browns/Ravens the same way Indianapolis got the Colts.

Then stand back and enjoy the fireworks!

22. They will give you all sorts of reasons why "their" circumstances were better
It was the same kind of deal.

My brother is a Ravens fanatic. I can always get a rise out of him when I do the Irsay/Modell comparison.
