Kind of hard to make a comeback with that kind of luck.

Staal, A. Ward, Cam Ward, M. Ryan were already out. Pitkanen, Yelle, and Walker went out with injuries in the Wild game. Hard to know whether to just blow the team up as trading nears and go for some youth for next year or not.

2. Naturally I have a different opinion
and also, I respect the franchise's Hartford roots. The situation JR (Rutherford) is facing in trying to figure out the path out from this situation is difficult. He usually can pull a rabbit out of the hat but the hat might be empty this time. I don't know if Legace or Leighton can stand on their heads long enough for enough starters to return. Hope it won't be target practice tonight for the Canadiens. Good thing is they have their issues as well.

3. Leighton in goal tonight for the Canes just left with an injury.
You just can't make this stuff up. Looks like it's up to Manny Legace to carry us with no backup goalies available. Canes lead 2 to 1.

4. When it rains it pours.
As if things weren't tough enough already.
