9. And if they don't, you can always blame it on cheating.
That's the beauty of playing Belichick.

12. Oh Hughee
don't you all get tired of carrying that burden?. Their is no beauty in billichick. I look forward to the scum coming to NOLA to take on the Saints.

Seriously. Wouldn't Patriot "FANS" want to rid their house of the likes of Billichick? The guy is a fucking cancer. He is an admitted cheater and anything associated with the Patriots is tainted as long as he is there regardless of how the Patriot Nation wants to spin things. It boggles my mind why Patriot "fans" keep cheering. I'd work to run his fucking criminal ass out of town on a rail. But that's just me. And today's performance was that of a fucking punk. Run up the score on a cripple. Wow, fucking brady is so manly.

14. Running up the score?
I'm sure it will take me all of about 30 seconds to find Arkansas with a similar margin of victory (North Texas - 2007, it took about 5 seconds to find). And that would be NOT against paid professionals but against some hapless Sun Belt team that had the misfortune of getting an SEC team on it's schedule. I have no issue with "running up the score" in professional sports, people getting paid millions of dollars to play a game should have enough pride not to get beat so badly. If they don't, they DESERVE a kick in the ass. The Titans fans deserve a better effort than they got today.

Despite this, they only scored 2 TD's in the second half (one scored by the backup QB) and put in the backups in the 3rd quarter. What are they supposed to do, start running out the clock in the first half? Let the Titans score so it doesn't look so bad?

Now that the Saints D finally looks like an NFL defense (instead of the like the best Louisiana-Monroe can muster), I wonder if you'll find yourself having to defend a Saints blowout in comming weeks. Their offense is really good. Against a D that's given up, they're going to have to work hard NOT to score.

16. The Saints sucked for so long that Bosshog got used to people having pity on his team.
Now he sees a team scoring a lot and he wets himself when they don't baby a team like teams did with the Aints. He probably enjoys pity fucks from his wife as well. And he tells us to get some self respect.

19. Only two in the second half___LOL
I'm guessing some here think that the Pat's were running up the score in the first half.

Too funny.

20. So with more than half the game left, they should have started
Edited on Mon Oct-19-09 10:16 AM by hughee99
running out the clock? If you have issues with the score, blame the Tennessee defense who never left the hotel yesterday. What's more embarrassing, having someone putting up 56 on you, or having them taking a knee in the 3rd quarter to run out the clock because if they run a play, they may score a TD.

Besides, what's wrong with running up the score against professional players getting paid to play a game? It's not like Miami University running up a 60 point lead on some hapless 1-AA or minor conference team back in the "good old days".

21. No kidding...talk about mixed messages!!!
People saying Tom Brady is a wimp because he doesn't want to be injured like he was last year, yet players who actually go out there on the field and play like it's 0 - 0, no matter what the score is, are scumbuckets who are "running up the score"...

I gotta ask them...which is it?

Man up and play the game, or throw in the towel and play like high school kids so they don't end up hurting the feelings of the opposing team?

As far as taking a knee and running out the clock at the end, yep, I was embarrassed for TN when the Patriots did just that with more than a minute left at the end of the game. What it said to me was, "We've beaten you guys up enough, now we're going to let you go home in shame".

Infinitely worse than actually playing out the rest of the game like men...

18. You know why other coaches/teams didn't pile on him to have him ousted?
Because I suspect they've ALL done their fair share of "cheating" and they probably didn't want a huge investigation into what really goes on in ALL the teams behind the scenes.

Anybody who thinks the coaching on their teams is 100% honest and forthright is living in a fantasy world.

Oh, and you mean to tell us all that if your Saints won a game after being on the receiving end of some very bad officiating calls, you would sit there and admit that they should have lost because their opponents outplayed them but got screwed?

Bull. Shit.

And if the Saints were playing Tennessee you would be OK if they only let the score get up to 21-0 and then quit playing? For that matter, what is the cutoff point for "running up the score"? Should the team stop trying at 7 - 0? 14 - 0? Tell us, O Wise One, where should a team stop playing seriously?

Whatever happens when the Pats and Saints meet up, will happen. But my biggest dream right now is that either (or both) St Louis and Tampa Bay beat the holy hell out of the Saints.

:+
