Then again--by Oct. 12 when he faces Miami, he'll probably be on the bench or in a body cast. He faces New England and Tennessee in his first 4 games. Good luck Rook.

Jason Taylor

Joey Porter

4. I thought Taylor was retiring. Or was that just a bad year with the Deadskins?

13. Not to many people look good against the Ravens defense
However he came back and led them to a touchdown. Clemons had the same performance... against the 2nd team defense and plus he's been there for 3-4 years while Sanchez has been there for 3-4 weeks. It's too early to tell but many rookie quarterbacks even the great ones had miserable rookie years but I think he'll be alright though. Too early to write him off though.

6. He's Thinking That Clemens Sucks
And Sanchez needs to play in order to learn.

14. Why Is It Stupid?
Jets aren't winning anything this year. Sanchez only had one year playing QB at USC, so he needs the exp.

The kid has gotta learn, and the Jets need to know if he can be a real pro QB.

9. Yes, And. . .
. . .i think Sanchez will improve quickly when he adapts to the speed of the NFL game.

I'm not a Jets fan, but i think they'll end up very happy with their draft class this year.

11. HEY! Why did you welch on your bet with Will Pitt.
Freaking disgraceful. Considering the Dolphins had the weakest schedule last year, makes it even more shameful!

Oops! Just haven't heard that in a while!

15. Basically they did

Total Yards

49ers-318
Dolphins-214

First Downs

49ers-24
Dolphins-11

Third Down Efficiency

49ers-47.1%
Dolphins-14.3%

Time of Possession

49ers-38:13
Dolphins-21:47

Keep in mind this whipping took place in Miami.

Your little team of pretenders just happened to get lucky on the scoreboard despite being dominated on the field, much as they did all of last year. The beating the Ravens put on the Dolphins in the playoffs showed the world that Miami didn't deserve to be there. However, you won't have that problem in 2009, there will be no playoffs, because this year the "Phins" play a REAL schedule.

The only thing that matters is the score, and the 49ers LOST. Damn, Skippy, deal with it. There's no column in the standings for "basically".

17. It's facts
sure Miami won the game on the scoreboard, I think the final score was 14-9.....but despite that, my stats demonstrate that the Dolphins were dominated physically on the field, a trend that continued in Miami's one playoff game.

It doesn't bode well, for unless the Dolphins have toughened up in the off season, I would expect this coming season to fall far short of their fans expectations.

19. Dude, the only thing that counts is the FINAL score. The FACT is that
stats don't get you wins.

BTW, you just proved definitively that the 49er's CHOKED, based on the statistics you cited.

LOSER!

21. Awww you and the word "Basically"
It's a convenient little word for douchebags who live in a revisionist world.

Here's the real world Douchebag.
