Congrats to the BC Eagles
One hell of a hockey game. 2 OT's with the Black Bears....there is no better hockey played than the college game!

I got to see lots of schoolboy hockey around Boston in the 60s and 70s and then lots of great college hockey at the Beanpot -- went to the tourney maybe 5 or 6 times over the course of 20 years. Always great hockey from the 4 teams: BU, Harvard, Northeastern and BC. Great matchups and rivalries. Great games.

Totally Loving the flashback.

2. Hey, dont' forget the rest of New England!
Vermont, UNH, Maine....geesh!

Time for a better tourney than Beanpot, I think. How about a New England Championship? Each State sends their best to a round robin championship for the NE title? Sounds good to me!

3. Great Idea -- Maybe call it the Yankee Cup, or something
and decorate the base with copper, bronze, silver and gold maple leaves....or would that be too gaudy?

4. Yeah, I like that....I can't figure why no one has marketed this yet
It makes so much sense....we ould have a a NE "Chowdah Cup", if you know what I mean.....
