Disgusted, Killebrew takes a swing at drug cheats
Manny Ramirez was back in the Los Angeles Dodgers' lineup on July 3 after a 50-game suspension for being a drug cheat. On Wednesday night, he hit his fifth home run since his return. He is now at 538 for his career and has surpassed Mickey Mantle for No. 15 on the all-time home run list.

"To see his name above Mantle's on the list ... that's a shame," Harmon Killebrew said.

...

Harmon paused and said: "I think it would bother anybody, but what can you do? Nobody is really doing anything to address what steroids did to the game, what it did to the game's records.

"As far as I'm concerned, Hank Aaron is the all-time home run champ, and Roger Maris should still have the record at 61, but Barry Bonds is the name you see in the record book."

Let's condemn cheaters THROUGHOUT the game, not just the ones who play for teams we don't like!

2. I agree, too
Cheating is cheating. I can't believe the people of LA are really praising this cheater and they were condemning Barroid. I find that really hypocritical.

6. I haven't exactly seen you go wild
in your condemnation of Manny. Oh sure, you've called him a cheater and such...but nothing to the extent that you've gone after Bonds. Couldn't that be interpreted as hypocrisy on your part?

11. Well quite honestly---
The only time I go after Bonds is when Douche Bags like you perform fellatio on him.

Believe me---if Manny loving Douche bags started popping up and started to use the same type of dumb ass shit excuses that you and your twin use---- I'd ridicule them just as bad.

You know why--- Because I hate dumb motherfuckers.

5. Interesting the way you highlight only the section on Bonds
lets do it the right way, as in convicted cheaters..

8. I can't convict Manny over fertility drugs
Yeah I understand it can possibly be use as a masking or some other purpose towards Steroid use but circumstantial evidence is no good for me. Manny is ok in my book.

9. So Manny was trying to get pregnant?
That and coming off steroids are the ONLY uses for that drug.

Get real!

And way to go Harmon!!!

10. Well the point is
He already served a 50 game suspension for it, that is punishment isn't it? I'm not sure what people are suggesting other then the baseball equivalent of the death penalty. Whatever the uses it's not steroids and call me old fashion but I like to see evidence before I further discuss these things.

12. The equivalent of any evidence is that he did not contest his suspension.
Let me tell you, I used to like Manny. There was no bigger defender of his here than me when Joeybee and all were so much in favor of the Red Sox dumping him.

So he served his suspension? What records has he tainted? Would the Red Sox have won two World Series? That is what I'm so pissed about.

13. All that is speculation
We can wonder about it but he was found with a banned substance this year only and payed the price for it. That is all I really know.
