2. It's called "building a team the right way"
I expect them to be under .500 this season. They are a young up and coming team and just need to get their guys some experience.

They guys that are gonna be heavy hitters for this team are still in the pipeling. DeHaan (a guy we picked up by trading up with your first rounder) is one of the top six Dmen in juniors that will get an invite to the WJC.

Travis Hamonic looks like another fine defensive prospect.

Aaron Ness a lot of folks think will be an NHL superstar.

Between Dibenetto, Martin and Tavares the Isles have three of the top ten scorers out of Juniors next year. Gonna be a good year in the build toward contention a few years down the line. Another top ten pick on it's way here as well.

11. You wish
I'm capable of seeing my team for what it is.

I wasn't crying in beer at all last season. I knew what to expect and the team was pretty open about this rebuilding phase. All the fans are on board with it as well.

3. The Sharks season will fly by.
In fact, if you blink in the playoffs you might miss them.

5. That's a mess in San Jose
I feel bad for anyone who has to clean that up.

And resigning Rob Blake was not the smart move to make there.

7. And of course, we'll count on plenty of gloating threads from you.
The final horn hadn't even stopped and you were already rubbing it in that the Sharks lost to Anaheim.

Nothing worse than a gloater.

9. I was gloating about my Draft Pick acquired from San Jose via Ottawa
Which we used to pick one of the top six defensemen playing in juniors; Calvin Dehaan. He's going into his second year of Juniors and has an invited to the WJC.

We would have gotten the same pick had you gone down in the second round as well.

10. I don't see as being so bad now
It's when mid August hits that the time really drags on. That's when it starts feeling like eons.

I can't wait though. The isles have some really good young players that I want to see follow through on their development. Okposo looks like he's gonna make Team USA this season. Not sure if Weight and Guerin make the team this season though.

I can't wait to see Josh Bailey this year play with an additional 10 lbs added on. At the rookie camp last week a lot of folks said this kid already looks like he's bulking up.

John Tavares is gonna be the greatest thing that happened to this Isles team since Bossy, LaFontaine and Turgeon.

12. Well, football starts soon and that'll help the time pass for me.
I'm curious to see how much of an impact Tavares makes as a rookie. He may step in and be a force right away, or he may have to feel his way for awhile. He's not going to have a ton of help this year, which may hold him back slightly, but he's going to be great, and it probably won't take long. Not sure the Isles will make the playoffs this year, but you never know. They had a real solid draft this year, so if they don't make it this year it won't be long before they do.

And if Tavares is even half as good as the three you mention you guys are in for a treat. :)

14. The Isles will be under .500 or around that mark this season
I think Tavares will do well playing with Okposo. Weight might go on the wing.

To start the season I see him playing with Bailey and Bergenheim on the wing. At least for the first few months.

Don't think he's gonna start putting up hat tricks out of the gate either. He probably will have about 20-25 goals this season though.
