1. Too bad he can't field
if it wasn't for Pujols, Wright and Billingsley, the Giants would be looking forward to home field advantage this Oct.

4. If the red Sox were 6 games under on the road I'd be worried about it, too.

6. Giants need to improve on the road
true, but they have second best home record (to the Red Sox) in MLB and so far it's been enough that if the season ended today, they're in the playoffs.

7. But the season doesn't end today.
That's one of sports most tired cliches. Sounds good, means nothing.

Any team more than 1 or 2 games under .500 on the road will be lucky to make it. Everyone that matters has good home records, it'll be the teams that establish a solid road game that will rise to the top.

3. I've wondered that myself
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if his name comes out somewhere down the line..

5. If it turns out Pujols is on the stuff
--which I don't think he is--then I am done with this franchise.

Cardinal blood runs rich through my veins. I can't have another McGwire-like asshole poisoning it.
