Fine performance by Charlie Manuel's hand-picked "All Star" Phillies squad
UTLEY.........0-2
HOWARD........0-1
IBANEZ........0-2
VICTORINO.....1-2
WERTH.........0-1

So now, the Giants are going to have to start on the road.

I bet you anything this all would have turned out better if:

1. Those NL West pitchers didn't fare so well either...
Lincecum 2IP 2 Hits, 1ER
Billingsley 1IP, 2 Hits, 1ER
Bell 1IP, 2 Hits, 1ER

Still, Sandoval deserved to be there more than Werth.

2. I'm certainly not going to defend Billingsley and Bell, since I don't like them.
The bottom line in Lincecum made his way one time through a powerhouse line-up he's not used to facing, by allowing only one earned run.

Wright and Pujols are responsible for the second run.

So Tim kept the NL in the game.

It was the lame-ass weak-performing offense that choked in a hitter's part.

And since the offense was dominated by Phillies ...

In a diabolical way, it brings me joy to know Manuel fucked up the team and took the loss.

3. If you want to argue that the NL west is the best division in the NL,
as much as you don't like them, don't you have to defend them a little? If the best players on your opponents teams aren't that good, how can the division be that good?

7. What? Why would I defend those horrible pitching performances?
No .. if I want to argue that the NL West is the best division in the NL, then I defend Giants, Dodgers, and Rockies' records .. not individual performances in an All Star game.

Where did I write that Billingsley and Bell aren't "that good"?

They stunk in St. Louis, but that certainly doesn't take away from their teams' accomplishments in the NL West.

9. My apologies, you didn't say that they weren't that good.
They did stink in STL, though, and Lincecum needs to remember to cover first. He's not completely blameless in all of this.

One more thing, Manuel "hand picked" Howard (deserving) and Werth (less deserving than Sandoval). The other three were there on fan votes (Utley, Ibanez, and Victorino) and were not actually his call. So is hand picked crew actually hit .000 0-2 with 2 K's.

10. I know, but I'm exaggerating Manuel's involvement because I'm mad at
him for not replacing Matt Cain with a Giant .. which would have only been fair.

And I'm not saying Lincecum is completely blameless. Geeez hughee .. so many words in my mouth.

But the NL was not losing when he was out of the game.

It would be nice if the NL hitters could shock the world and produce for once. I've never seen a more embarrassing team of athletes than these NL "stars" over the past 1.5 decades.

Who knew you could predict how they'll do on the road in the playoffs this year!

BTW, in 2002 when they beat St. Louis for the pennant ... they won the first two games at Busch Memorial Stadium.

In fact, to be more specific, they won the only two games in St. Louis, as they didn't have to go back.

Not sure what it is they expect but I don't think Philly has arms to spare or anything that gonna pry him from Toronto.

I think St Louis migh be in the best position to land this guy. maybe Atlanta if they include Lowe or Cincy with Arroyo.

Have a feeling he goes to the NL Central.

J. Happ is one guy they'd want and minor league phenom, RHP Kyle Drabek is another. Throw in five-tool prospect Michael Taylor or top catching prospect Travis D’Arnaud and you have the makings of a good deal for the Jays to get much better in the future. Hell, I'd give them all up to win now.

Yes or no?

The last time you claimed you beat in an argument was the thread I linked to.

Yes or no?

Two threads, two times you're claiming you won an argument.

Yes or no?

My response, linked in my previous post, was a response to whether you won that argument.

Yes or no?

In that response, I provided numerous examples of you being a hypocrite about what you claimed my problem was, gloating.

Yes or no?

You replied to others in that thread many times after I had demolished your argument.

Yes or no?

A post in direct response to your claim of winning arguments would be considered by anyone with a brain to be related to the same topic.

Yes or no?

I'm only proving what you're desperate to illustrate. That you're a narcissistic, hypocritical, hero-worshiping douchebag who couldn't out debate Ann Coulter on an ether binge.

Better add more smilies. Maybe someone will actually be as dumb as you hope they are and think that's a sign of winning.

47. Even dumber for Manuel to have Lincecom start this game
Yeah, he really did make a dumb decision there.

51. Linceom was the worst player on the field through out the course of the game
for either team.

Wright made up for his throw by getting a hit and scoring a run.

Linceom blew an 0-2 lead on a batter.

Lincecom failed to cover first on a double play ball.

Lincecom killed the NL.

53. You don't even know how to spell Tim's name.
Second of all, he had a no decision in the game.

The NL had it in the bag, until a player from the most overrated team in the National League came in and choked.

He must have taken notes from your horrible team..

Wiping away the tears of defeat after letting
his entire league down.

59. You can never refute any of my points.
No wonder you never back down from ricockulous comments like the Islanders attendance isn't pitiful and that the Mets draw very well. :eyes:
