Church pianist Lillian Greene retires after 77 years of playing for the Lord (video)

MOBILE, Alabama -- As she has for the last 77 years, Lillian Busby Greene takes her place before the piano at St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church and places her hands on the keys.

Her long fingers, nimble even at her age — she’s 89 — begin to move over the ivories.

"What a friend we have in Jesus ..."

The notes rise into the sanctuary.
