Benny Hinn Can't Heal Marriage, Wife Files For Divorce
Wife Of Televangelist Benny Hinn Files For Divorce

February 18, 2010
By GILLIAN FLACCUS, Associated Press Writer

ORANGE, Calif. The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in Southern California. Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County Superior Court on Feb. 1, citing irreconcilable differences, after more than 30 years of marriage. The papers note the two separated on Jan. 26 and that Hinn has been living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange County.

Hinn is one of the best known advocates of the prosperity gospel, which teaches that Christians who are right with God will be rewarded with wealth and health in this lifetime.

His TV broadcasts on the Trinity Broadcast Network, a Pentecostal broadcasting juggernaut, and other TV networks are seen by millions of people around the world nearly every day. He travels the globe in his ministry's plane, named Dove One, holding events he calls "Miracle Crusades" that include spiritual healings.

Hinn has never fully publicly disclosed how he spends the money he raises, but his vast ministry is believed to be a multimillion-dollar operation. There was no mention of finances in the court filing, which listed three recent Southern California addresses for the family.

MORE

- Well, I just know that Benny is going to be extra, extra nice to the Mrs. Hinn now. I mean with Congress breathing down his neck every few weeks about how he's spending his "church's" loot, she's in the perfect position now to bring him to his knees... or to knock him flat.... and let his body hit the floor like, like.... well like he always does to other people

1. I hope she's careful.
Multi-millionaire charlatans can be VERY protective of their secrets, I'm wagering.

5. You might want to see....
...if your PM wants to do one of those intercessory prayers like they do when they want to get god to kill someone they don't like.

- No, no, I didn't mean Mrs. Hinn. I just meant whomever they thought the Lord wanted to get out of Benny's way.

That's all....

8. Not only is Benny Hinn a fraud TBN is a fraud.
It was reported in the Nashville Tennessean that they prayed for a lawyer to die.
They threaten people they don't like.

9. Yeah, they do that type of thing here....
...which is why I recommend for most people who aren't trained to handle religionists, to give them a wide berth. They always like to claim that they love you and want to help you. But it's always on their terms. And if you get in their way, then a holy crusade may be called upon and which uses any means available to vanquish thou the enemy. And here in the bubble-headed bible belt where I live (which happens to be Nashville), anyone who speaks ill against the religionists -- particularly of the Christian variety -- must tread with wisdom.

So that's why I mostly just tell them to go fuck off early-on and save myself the trouble. Otherwise you'll never get rid of them.

- True story: I used to love to fish not far from where Trinity Broadcasting was built close to part of Old Hickory Lake. But after they began construction of this holy teevee compound of Jesusicans, the runoff from the site and parking areas started killing the fish. Ironic, huh?

13. Apparently....
...he's decided to accept their +30-year old ruined nuptials instead, as a burnt offering.

- And I'm sure Benny is hoping (and hiding his money) so he doesn't get burnt.....

19. Actually....
...you'd be surprised how easy it is to flim-flam people. When they've already demonstrated that they're sufficiently deluded, it's not that hard to take them to the next step that says: "this is what god wants you to do." Because in the back of their minds is the picture of burning hellfire that they were brainwashed into believing in when they were but babes-in-arms.

- Which is how religion has succeeded this far. Benny is only reaping the rewards already sown by parents for generations going back before any of us were even born.....

23. I believe I heard that the Republican Party called Benny yesterday.
They want Benny to continue his healing ministry because it keeps down healthcare costs in the United States.
