1. Wow - is there anyone they don't hate?

Would I be right in thinking they're in a legal battle with the ACLU? I can't see why they'd get the top hate spot from them otherwise.

4. The ACLU represents everything that the religious reich hates and fears

Separation of church and state. The freedom to speak against religious intolerance. The right to publish tracts on atheism and rational thought. Opposition to theocracy. Support of the Constitution. In short, the ACLU inspires others to stand up to authority and say, "No, you are wrong and I will not allow you to continue."

Like I said, everything that the religious reich hates and fears. The ACLU has always been at the top of their hate list.
