Work on Progressive Campaigns in Atlanta!

Background
George W. Bush and the Congress are leading our country in the wrong direction. From the Iraq War and the budget deficits to the President’s energy policy and his push to stack the courts with conservative justices, the Far Right’s agenda will have serious impacts on the quality of life in America for coming generations.

We need to address these problems and lead our country in the right direction. Grassroots Campaigns is working to do it that now, working both for short-term campaign victories and to put America on a more progressive path in the long-term. We believe change needs to come at the top and from the bottom. We will recruit and train a network of citizens at the grassroots level who will lead their communities in the battle against Bush’s dangerous initiatives. These dedicated activists will become the precinct leaders in electoral campaigns as we look to make change at the top by taking back the Congress in 2006 and the Presidency in 2008.

Grassroots Campaigns past and current partnerships include MoveOnPAC, Amnesty International, the Democratic National Committee, Human Rights Campaign, People for the American Way, the AFL-CIO and Environmental Action.

Position: Canvass Director/Assistant Director

Canvass Directors and Assistant Directors manage our grassroots fundraising offices, with bottom-line responsibility for local operations. Job responsibilities include on recruiting, training, and managing a staff of 20-100 paid canvassers, managing local campaign logistics, and administrative duties related to fundraising, including budget management, income tracking, and payroll. Directors canvass two to three days per week to work with staff in the field and meet personal fundraising requirements.
