Anyone else watching the Jimi Hendrix bio on Biography Channel?

It's very impressive so far, way above par for the channel.

The whole story is being told through Jimi's actual words, letters and writings.

1. He had a very unhappy childhood, and was very poor. The Army discharged him
for mental health problems, and when he died, there was only $400,000 in his estate.

2. I saw a bit of it the other night...now I'm recording it for my (13 year old) son who is also a huge
Jimi fan.

4. That 12-string acoustic performance was gorgeous.
Jimi's shirt was so vivid!

5. ... it's funny but listening to it now, there's so much more stuff ...
... that was trippier than alot of Jimi's, and yet he carried such an aura of being the poster-child for the counterculture. (Not saying that he wasn't counterculture, but that there are others who were even further on the edge than he was, IMO.)

I remember seeing 'Are you Experienced' (the vinyl) in my big brother's room when I was about 4 (this would be about 1971) and just looking in amazement at all the colors and the jewelry/outfits on the album cover etc ...
