Just saw part 1 of NBC's "Meteor"

Worst disaster movie ever? The acting was atrocious. This is even worse than the theatrical "Meteor" that came out in the 70s with Henry Fonda.

The "missile defense shield" would be my guess.

There's no commie threat any more, and it wouldn't do a thing to stop an "international cabal of terraists" even if there actually WAS such a thing, so they have to make up a new justification for it.

Blasting the shit out of meteors and or moons out of orbit should be a good enough reason !!1!!1! :nuke:
