I watched Farrah's Story
Edited on Sat May-16-09 07:27 PM by ronnykmarshall
It's very sad and yet very uplifting.

She is a very strong woman. Ryan O'Neil seems to be a very loving person and you can just see how much he loves her.

Kate Jackson and Jackie Smith are very loyal and supportive friends.

Alana Stewart is someone you really want to have as a good friend.

Yes, I cried my ass off.

For anyone like me that has watched someone die of an illness like cancer, it's hard to watch. But as corny as this sounds, Farrah really is an angel. She knows that she is blessed to be able to fight cancer like she has.

I'll be very sad when she passes away. Which sad to say looks like it might be very soon.

God Bless you Farrah and to all those that are fighting to live.

7. I feel so sorry for her dad.
I didn't know that Farrah's sister also died of cancer.

Her dad is in the film and he's just the sweetest guy.

2. I hope her pain is under control.
I hope she inspires a whole lot of donations to help with cancer research.

I hope her son is able to get out of prison and clean up his life.

I hope good comes from this.

I am so sorry that she is going through this. She is clearly a very strong person.

5. The part with her son is so touching.
They let him out of jail to see her.

There's a part w/ Ryan (his dad) where he kisses him and basically tells him "I hope this will help you".

Tragic.

Hmm - they have been advertising that all week but it doesn't say it on my Guide when I tried to double-check.

Thank you for posting that.

I called my mom and she recorded it.

It's hard for her to watch things like this because of my brother's death from AIDS.

One thing that just really made me cry was Farrah's message at the end: How are YOU? What are YOU fighting for?

13. I'm very sorry about your brother.
A dear friend lost her son to AIDS. It was (and still is) heartbreaking. Such a beautiful life. I hope you and your mom have found comfort in memories.
Peace.

10. MSNBC also has it on their video website
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434 /

Look in the right margin where it says "Farrah's Story reairs Sunday 6 pm EST" and it will take you to the spot where you can watch it online.

11. It should be mandatory viewing for the do-nothing idiots in Washington...
I have lost count of the number of friends and family members who have died from cancer. I personally know the terror of hearing a doctor say "I'm sorry, you have cancer".

I cringed when it showed the needles going into Farrah's body. So many painful memories that I would rather not re-live. But it is so very important that others realize the suffering we go through fighting this dreadful disease. If that is the only way to fund the necessary research...bring it.

We have plenty of dollars to bomb the hell out of other countries, or to make sure the fat cats don't go belly up.

We have plenty of money to subsidize the tobacco growers, so that they can make a product that the government then spends even more money to tell us not to use. Hoping secretly that no one heeds the warning, so that they can continue with the exorbitant taxation and kickbacks.

President Nixon officially launched the War on Cancer in 1971. It's high time we demand that the government finds the money to fund this war too.
