We don't get that to Iranians that is still a burning question. Why did you destroy our elected leader??? Most Americans have no idea. Have you read Kinser's other book, Overthrow? It is great.

2. Yes, an excellent book...

as is "A Peace to End all Peace" by Froomkin...both put things into historical perspective.

3. agreed, its hard to put it all together without seeing where it started

gave me an increased respect for Turman and dislike for Ike. Truman refused to do it, as soon as Ike was elected, the Dulles boys gave the go ahead.

4. And since you mention presidents, it was Teddy's boy who went in

to start the crap. Not Kermit, he seemed decent enough and commited suicide in Alaska. Did Teddy have his boy's body brought back to be buried in the family plot? Hell no, it's up there in a crummy grave. Nevermind that Kermit saved his life when they were on that river in South America. Oh well, that book looks good and I've seen it but haven't read it...yet.
