Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Anyone read this book.

I'm about halfway through and can't put it down.

It's about a woman who grew up in Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and her pretty amazing story. I think she's now a member of Parliament in Holland or another western country.

Can't wait to finish it.

1. She's a really amazing woman...
I've seen her on TV a few times -- Bill Maher, I think, and some others. I don't know if I'd ever have her courage.

5. And I Can't Figure That Out
I thought she was amazing after reading the book until I saw her affiliation with the AEI. WTF is that all about?

6. Just finished the book
She was offered a job at the AEI. She seemed to love her earlier job with the Dutch Think Tank.

Then all of the sudden her world was destroyed. Theo Van Goah was murdered and the note stabbed into his chest said she was next. She went into forced hiding and was moved all over Holland, the US and Germany from safehouse to safehouse. Then she was stripped of her Dutch citizenship, resigned her Parliamentary seat and had no where to go.

Is it that much of a surprise that she took the job that was offered to her? She didn't have anywhere else to go and was under threat of death.
