1. Agreed. Read that, then go read "Four Arguments for the
Elimination of Television" by Jerry Mander. It's 30 years old, but absolutely on the mark about the effects of TV>

2. Inspired the album by Roger Waters, I believe...
Haven't read it, but Waters made some damn fine music out of its inspiration.
