Finished DIRTY POOL a week ago, and MONKEY MAN yesterday. I enjoyed both, especially MONKEY MAN, and am recommending these books.

They're a mystery series with a lot of humor about an Albuquerque PI named Bubba Mabry. My library had only 2 of the series and I think I may request they get some more.

I did get CUTTHROAT, a stand-alone but didn't start it yet.

I notice on the site that he has a book out just about every year but 2008.

1. Just finished CUTTHROAT

It was pretty good. It's named "cutthroat" because of cutthroat trout in a key character's stream. The main character, Soloman Gage, would make a good series character.

I'd read more of this guy if my library would pick up a few more books. We only have 3.

Not to worry, I have a list of 20 authors or so I'd like to try.
