Why no media coverage of outstanding Florida votes?
They are all talking soley about Ohio, and how Kerry is highly unlikely to win given the insufficient number of as-yet uncounted provisional ballots.

There are Democrats here talking about 1.6 million uncounted Florida ballots, but nobody in the media is talking about that. They believe that Florida is decided and done.

What's the story?

1.6 mil uncounted ballots would mean a 50% increase in Florida turnout over 2000.

7. Someone here posted that there were alot of uncounted Fla votes
Pretty sure I read 1.6m, but can't find it.

Florida had roughly 6 million votes in 2000. I can't find the number of Florida votes this year.

Whatever the number is, why aren't the media holding Florida as undecided yet if that number is sufficiently larger than the current vote spread?

8. Here's my post from another thread
2004:

Bush, George (i) Rep 3,828,362 52.14
Kerry, John Dem 3,454,105 47.04

http://network.ap.org/dynamic/files/elections/2004/gene...

2000:

Bush
2,912,790

Gore
2,912,253

http://www.fec.gov/pubrec/2000presgeresults.htm

Shows a lot more votes (edit: about 1.5 million) being counted this year.

2. Which is interesting considering the counties where there are votes
left to tabulate are mostly leaning strongly Kerry and there WAS that issue of absentee ballots not being sent or received.

3. Yeah, why is no one talking about this?
Why is everyone giving up instead of insisting that all the votes be counted?

4. I just checked the CNN page and I saw 100% reporting
but I also remembered the huge number of uncounted ballots --there was no mention of this on the CNN page.

Right now I am guessing that there are perhaps millions of provisional and other sort of ballots that have not been counted in many states -- if not in ALL states.

The numbers are screwy -- I just do not believe that bush is leading in the popular vote.

The guy bomb in all 3 debates.

There is really something wrong with the numbers -- and I'll bet that Kerry's team has people looking at that right now.

6. 103%
Other states are going over the perfect number. Florida could use some of that black magic.
