I compiled all this information below from the K/E forum. I suck at math. So, I just copied and pasted for you guys to evaluate. Sounds like we may be missing a whole lot of votes!!!
================================================================
An estimated 117.5 million to 121 million people were expected to cast votes Tuesday, which, if forecasts were correct, would be 58 percent to 60 percent of eligible voters.
Slightly more than 51 percent of voters, about 105.4 million, cast ballots in 2000, when Republican George W. Bush defeated Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites).

As the person who posted that originally, let me answer you.
I am right here and demanding to know where our votes went!!!!!!!!!!!!!
According to CNN Bush has 52,456,478 and Kerry has 48,872,751. That's 101,139,282 TOTAL. So what happened to the other five to ten million or more that was expected?
MASSIVE voter registration drives.
Lines waiting for hours to vote today.
Lines waiting for hours to vote since the start of early voting.
Higher rates of absentee ballots.
And yet when it's all said and done, the only change from four years ago is MORE votes for Bush? I saw those lines. We all did. So why is the total less?
I'm sorry, but that dog don't hunt.
Something does not seem right with this, I agree.
Assuming the CNN nubers do not include states not yet called, the number is still low:
Nevada: 700k
NM: 600k
Iowa:1.5m
Mich:3.5m
OH:5.5m
Wisc:2.5m
This is an additional 14.5 million assuming THESE VOTES ARE NOT INCLUDED in the current total, but they are.
53,392,704
49,760,966
Adding 14.5 to this total would get us to the 120m+ range, BUT, the 14.5 IS INCLUDED in those numbers.
I just do not understand how the GOTV capaigns have failed and turnout as a % of eligible voters would be the lowest in decades based on the total vote. Whats happening here
