"This bill would give democracy a 21st century makeover to make voting more accessible," said Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein, D-Mercer,. She's sponsoring the measure Assemblymen Paul Moriarty, D-Gloucester, Wayne P. DeAngelo, D-Mercer, and Nelson Albano and Matthew W. Milam, both D-Cape May.

The measure, which was introduced in June, has been referred to the Assembly's State Government Committee, which has not yet scheduled a hearing on it. Sen. Jeff Van Drew, D-Cape May, is sponsoring identical legislation in that chamber.

India: Election Commission flunks the openness test on EVMs

The Germans found that EVMs violated their constitution, because the system is obliged to prove to the voter that his vote is registered as per his intent, and EVMs cannot guarantee that.
