My Article at Right-Leaning 'Gouverneur Times' on NY-23's Special Election E-Voting Mess...

My Article at Right-Leaning 'Gouverneur Times' on NY-23's Special Election E-Voting Mess...

I've covered the problems and failures in NY-23's recent Special Election for U.S. House in a number of previous articles at The BRAD BLOG.

And now, the right-leaning Gouverneur Times has asked me to put together a bit of a "backgrounder" for them on all of these e-voting nightmares, and how they pertain to NY-23, since it seems that right-wingers, for some odd reason, are somewhat lacking (up until now anyway) in real information on just how dangerously insane our privatized system of e-voting in public elections has become. Too much time spent being fooled by ACORN-conspiracists like Andrew Breitbart and Fox "News", I guess.

My piece for them, "NY-23, Sequoia and the Private Corporate Takeover of Your Once-Public Democracy," as written over the weekend, following the latest in a string of embarrassing "concessions" and "un-concessions" by the Conservative Party's Doug Hoffman, is now their front page lead story if you (or Breitbart) care to give it a look.

2. Thanks, Dennis. Please spread the word since...
I dunno how many folks read this forum these days :-(

(I guess someone can feel free to cross-post to GD if they're in the mood. 'Tis a great opportunity/moment, to bring the wingnuts on board for EI, it seems to me!)

3. Just saw this - after - I released today's voting news
will catch it tomorrow.

Glad you expounded more thoroughly on Sequoia problems, and privatization.

I wonder if teabaggers will faint when they visit your blog.

5. No worries...
"I wonder if teabaggers will faint when they visit your blog."

If so, then they'll be quickly revived when they see that Andrew Breitbart called for me to be murdered today: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=7547

And the beat goes on. Though that one actually has a bit of an ironic twist at the end for election integrity folks!

8. "They Want to Do It LEGALLY"
A recent Twitter scuffle between Andrew Breitbart and Brad Freidman brings up a trend I’ve noticed among some right wingers over the years. Right Wing blogger Breitbart, announced via Twitter on the story about stolen emails and climate change:, “Capital punishment for Dr James Hansen. Climategate is high treason,” which led to the following exchange:

4. The cause of accurate vote counting is equally attractive to anyone
who cares enough to fight as hard as both polital poles do. We are natural allies on this, because we both believe that our ideas are the true wish of the electorate.

7. Nice job, Brad.
I dig the way you framed some of that helping to illustrate that EI is non-partisan (except for progressives doing most of the work, LOL!).
