Best sources of election integrity news and analyses (to bookmark)

The site documenting reported problems as they occur is http://www.ourvotelive.org/home.php

Common Cause has a page linking to info on the rules for registering and voting in each state: http://www.commoncause.org/site/pp.asp?c=dkLNK1MQIwG&b=4648297?

The hotline to report a problem, sponsored by a number of non-partisan election integrity groups, is 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683).

Greg Palast's infocomic Steal Back Your Vote is now available free online thanks to generous donations:
http://www.gregpalast.com/sbyv/download/SBYV-Guide-100608.pdf

The film, Stealing America: Vote By Vote is now available free online in full-screen viewing mode! http://www.stealingamericathemovie.org/vimeo.html

Veteran election integrity wonks will already know the following sources, but people whose interest is more recent will be interested in the two best blogs on the subject:
www.bradblog.com and www.markcrispinmiller.com
The above sites also regularly mention some of the many election integrity organizations for you to look into if you choose.

Although it doesn't deal w/ the problems w/ electronic tabulating or even with all the different machines out there, the video, "How to Hack a Sequoia Touch-Screen Voting Machine" is edifying as to how easy it is to successfully tamper w/ the machines simply by slipping a key programmed w/malware onto the table next to the machine on the table when it's being tested or being set up.
http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0809/S00147.htm (Scroll down to view the video--in 2 parts.)

Steven Spoonamore's (top banking cyber security expert) various interviews on the impossibility of securing the integrity of voting and tabulating machines that maintain voter anonymity are widely available online. They are nothing less than riveting. Here are a few links: http://www.velvetrevolution.us/#092608 and http://www.velvetrevolution.us/#090508 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8EeaFyY4y4

He also testified on the almost certainty that elections in Georgia and Ohio were hacked: http://www.velvetrevolution.us/#080708

Democracy depends on informed citizenship.

1. I have a great deal of respect for Stephen Spoonamore -
even though he is republican. He seems to be honest to his core.

2. Ya but what is going to be done about it
Fine to talk and talk about it but unless there is a way to correct it and get an accurate and legally accepted election tally then complaining does nada.

4. The 866-OUR VOTE hotline appears to be a total fuster-cluck.
Answering and then hanging up the phone immediately.

Promising (twice) to have someone call me back. No one called.

No effort to post reported problems in real-time so that voters, election officials and the campaigns might do something about them.

There are at least two more hot-lines to report problems. I plan to start referring people to those other numbers, rather than "86"ing our calls the same way our votes are being "86"ed.

6. Sadly, sounds like their phone room is both understaffed and undersupervised.

How discouraging. Could you let us know those other numbers? Posting them in a reply here doesn't exclude also putting them up in a new thread.

On edit: The following site connected to 866-OUR-VOTE does seem to posting problems in real time: http://www.ourvotelive.org/home.php
