FL: 1,245 Orange County voters told they can't vote due to "computer glitch"
1,245 Orange voters told they can't vote
posted by Aaron Deslatte on Oct 14, 2008 5:26:19 AM

By Amy L. Edwards, Sentinel Staff Writer

About 1,245 Orange County residents were erroneously mailed letters last week stating they were ineligible to vote in the upcoming election, the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office confirmed Monday.

Officials blamed the problem on a computer glitch.

The letters were intended to confirm voters' registration information.

However, a glitch inserted an additional sentence stating the voter was ineligible to vote in the Nov. 4 election, said Linda Tanko, a supervisor at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office.

Tanko said the elections office will send corrected letters.

No need to hold an inquiry to see who created the glitch.

Seems to me stories like these need to be chased down. What do you mean a glitch.

8. Just a simple mistake, right?
Nothing like the massive fraud perpetrated by ACORN. (Or so the right-wing echo chamber tells us.)

Wonder how many more stories like this we'll hear? "Be sure to vote on Wednesday Nov. 5!" "Check here for Barack Hussein Osama." Etc.
