Ohio Recount Green party fund - less than $30,000 to go.
Edited on Sun Nov-14-04 02:18 PM by Eric J in MN
Please donate to the Green Party Ohio recount effort:
http://web.greens.org/c/cobb/supporters.cgi?function=do...

They need to raise $150,000, and are most of the way there. Let's give them the rest.

It's unlikely to change the election-results, but let's try to learn the truth about this election.

7. We're doing well. They have enough for the filing fees,
now they just need the administrative cost money.

Your Help Needed for Ohio Recount!

Congratulations - you did it!

David Cobb and Michael Badnarik, the 2004 presidential candidates for the Green and Libertarian parties, have announced their intentions to file a formal demand for a recount of the presidential ballots cast in Ohio.

With your help and the passionate support of more than 3,000 contributors in the last four days, we have now raised the required fee, estimated at $113,600, for a complete recount in all 11,306 precincts in Ohio.

Now we must ensure that the recount doesn't take place in a vacuum. We need witnesses, volunteers, housing and per diem, etc. to support the participation of thousands of volunteers, as well as funds for travel, communications, and other necessary expenses now being incurred as we press our campaign to see that every vote is counted.

We have set an initial goal of $100,000 for this effort (although we are still researching the full costs of fielding sufficient witnesses and volunteers). .....

4. Isn't he in Europe?
Maybe since the MSM won't cover this election debacle, he's not concerned that something went seriously awry.

5. Soros can't rescue every time. We should be able to find
$150,000 without his help.

16. The Greens
asked for a state wide recount but there is no guarantee that they will be granted this recount. They have to go to court for this. Furthermore any recount will not occur until after Dec/1 when the election is certified. The electors will meet on Dec/13. You cannot finish a recount in less then 12 days. Wake up my friend.

14. $20 donated, all I can afford, but it will help me to sleep better tonight
If we want democracy, we have to invest in democracy. George Soros doesn't need to be involved with this or else it will look like he's buying the recount.

You never know what will happen. I believe John Kerry won Ohio. Let us see how events unfold.

At best, Ohio's electoral votes will transfer to John Kerry. Second best, bush will lose his bogus "mandate" and be smeared with the taint of vote-tampering.

G'night all.
