Suit Says Voter Was Blocked (VA)
Prince William County officials refused to let a resident vote in the election in November because he couldn't produce identification at the polls, the ACLU of Virginia alleged in a lawsuit filed yesterday.

R. Leigh Gillette, who tried to vote at Enterprise Elementary School in Woodbridge, was not offered an Affirmation of Identity form, as required by Virginia law, according to the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Alexandria. State law allows registered voters to vote in state elections without an ID if they sign a form verifying their identity.

Diana Dutton, administrative elections manager for Prince William, said she hadn't seen the lawsuit and couldn't comment.
