1. Votergate
OK, now show OH, FL, NH and the other critical states and the averages ... just to complete the comparison.

4. where do they come up with this stuff?
Some moron on the radio the other day was trying to explain away the fucked up exit poll numbers by saying that we called out voters we had signed up to vote when the exit pollers were in place, doing their polling thing. It was supposed to somehow skew the numbers enough to discourage more westernly voters or some such nonsense. Will they stop at nothing to cover up their lies?

BTW, yes, I'm new here and I'm sad. Been a lurker for a while, but this election debacle finally pushed me over the edge and I registered. Reading everyone's posts here is just about the only thing that has kept me sane over the last couple of weeks. Thanks.

8. Hi, sadman....
glad to read that being here helps.

I enjoyed laughing here before Black Tuesday...since then, my sense of humour seems to have atrophied.

10. Try not to be too sad
Visualize Senator Kerry being inaugurated on January 20th. We're working to make that happen. The Electoral College has not met yet and will not meet for nearly another month. Keep your eye on the NH recount and watch events unfold in OH, too.

Welcome to DU, sadman! :hi: Give us some more time and you may be fixin' to change your screen name here. ;)

14. Thanks for the welcome
I don't claim to be the sharpest crayon on the book, but some of the stuff we saw a couple of weeks ago seems real messed up, even to me. I just wish I had some good arguments to counter what they call their "reason" and "logic". I know if it feels wrong, but don't always know exactly how to explain it, ya know?

9. Wow , this might be simple enough for our "media"
to understand!!!! Those that aren't hopelessly bought off, that is. I know that that's group of about two "journalist", but still. Maybe you should e-mail this to some of them. It kind of says it all. Heck, I think Franken should see it. He seems to be having trouble "getting" the issue.

12. Only people that beleive these are us.
Left and Right wings both called these polls wrong. The only people that like these polls are us. Our own party leaders.. all of them.. said these were bent in favor of Kerry because they had more women in the poll 59-41. They also didnt poll in any Rural areas.. it was mostly inner city. O

I dont believe in exit polls.. they are witchcraft in my opinon.

If you get 15 people.. 7 for bush 8 for kerry.. but you only talk to 4 of them .. 3 of which are kerry supporters.. you can say Kerry is winning 3-1.. even though its totaly wrong. Thats why i never did like exit polls or any polls for that matter.

15. Come on DU'rs, Don't you know????
Don't you know that Repubs in AZ, LA, MI, IA, NM, ME, NV, AR, MO, And IL trust CBS, NBC, and ABC and did not fear going up to the pollsters? Don't you people know that only repubs in FL,OH,NH, and the others are prone to that mental illness??
