Touch Screen Switching
Maryland
4255 Voter Intimidation Problem Other Problem Baltimore Maryland Rosedale Senior Center voter tried to vote for O'Malley, but Erhlich's name kept popping up. Wife says same thing happened to her.

4774 Polling Place Problem Anne Arundel Maryland Chapel Pressed screen for Cardin, came up Steel. Was able to correct before casting ballot.

4100 Polling Place Problem Baltimore Maryland Immaculate Heart of Mary 1. Problems with machine "changing" vote as he moved onto next issue. Judge kept coming over and "pushing buttons" trying to fix it. Voted as soon as the polls opened ; 15 people ahead of him. He voted in the primary with no problem. When he finally got to the review screen, about 1/3 were wrong; judge "played with it" again. Never "went inside" machine. Finally got everything right on the screen but he has no confidence that they got it right in the end. Took 1/2 hour to vote. 2. No privacy - when judge comes over, sees all his votes. He feels "violated."

3776 Polling Place Problem Howard Maryland Centennial Elementary school Machine twice showed he had picked the candidate above the one he picked. Democratic changed to republican. Had to clear votes, try again. After second try was able to vote correct.

3774 Polling Place Problem Baltimore Maryland Randallstown High School When she voted with electronic machines. She tried to vote for Democrats and three times Republican candidates were picked. Poll workers advised her to press on it again to erase it, which she did and then it was corrected. Ultimately able to pick her candidates of choice, after she asked for assistance.

3615 Polling Place Problem Baltimore City Maryland Hartford Senior Center The summary page of the voter's vote showed she voted for candidates she did not vote for. A poll worker came over and helped her and fixed the summary page so it showed her correct vote. She is worried this might happen to others wthout them noticing.

3344 Polling Place Problem Baltimore Maryland ft. garrison elem. No voted dem. but erlich showed up on screen

2787 Polling Place Problem Montgomery Maryland Yes Parkside Clubhouse North at 10522 Montrose Ave, Machine TS7 is not working properly. The voter brought the problem to the attention of election judge Ben Houghton, who called technical support but acted slowly and would not guarentee that the machine would be taken out of service. First Screen - First time she pushed the square to vote for Frost, she checked the screen and saw his opponent's name. She called the judge over and cleared it out, and a seond time, it did the same thing in his presence. When she tried a third time, she thinks it worked, but she couldn't verify it because the bottom part of the screen was cut off. Concerned enough that she went to Judge Van Houghton and she made an official complaint of voter fraud. She has a signed document from the election officials, signed and witnessed, saying that he saw it happen.

2302 Polling Place Problem Anne Arundel Maryland No Voter had problem with machine 6 at Waugh Chapel Elem. School. The machine would not record the candidate she wanted to select. It kept reverting to other candidate. Eventually she got it wok, but is concerned others may not have been able to get it to properly work

2264 Polling Place Problem Baltimore Maryland Fort Garrison Elementary School No For one voter, his confirmation page did not reflect his actual choices. He noticed this and changed it, but there may be other machines that this is happening on.

1513 Polling Place Problem Anne Arundel Maryland Pasadena United Methodist Church Yes Machine #2 at this precinct records wrong candidate at summary page. Had to correct each candidate 3-4 times for it register correctly on summary screen. Concerned that others may not be checking summary screen and may inadvertently vote for wrong candidate.

1488 Polling Place Problem Baltimore Maryland Samuel L. Banks School No Voter tried to vote a democratic candidate and it incorrectly registered as Republican for three times in a row. She succeeded the fourth time. Also, the caller said that after providing her identification, the judge claimed not to have the caller's name in her pollbook. The caller produced her specimen ballot and the judge found her name.

4255 Voter Intimidation Problem Other Problem Baltimore Maryland Rosedale Senior Center Yes voter tried to vote for O'Malley, but Erhlich's name kept popping up. Wife says same thing happened to her.

5. I wonder if their DNA, if not their fingerprints, are on them. A jail term
seems the only condign sanction against such energetic criminality.

3. Pollworker misfeasance, machine security problems, student & incorrect ID requirements in some preci
Student Voting
Maryland
3361 Polling Place Problem Montgomery Maryland Richview Middle School Voter is a first-time voter and provided a student ID with photo and her birth certificate as her identification. She was told that she could not vote because this was not a valid form of ID.

Pollworker Misfeasance
1709 Polling Place Problem Prince George's Maryland Ardmore Elementary Poll workers are demanding photo ID from all voters. Caller knew this wasn't required and called to report. This was happening in many precincts in many counties

1454 Polling Place Problem Prince George's Maryland Ardmore Elementary ID insisted when not needed

2912 Other Problem Prince George's Maryland Towers of Westchester Park Building Voter informed that he already voted when he had not. He completed a provisional ballot and was informed that it probably would not count because the computer showed he already voted. (this commonly happening)
He also witnessed a woman being turned away for lack of registration despite her presentation of a registration card

Machine Security
1208 Polling Place Problem Prince George's Maryland caller is an election judge, she is concerned because machines will be left in an unlocked room in a school overnight

1192 Other Problem Prince George's Maryland Riverdale Elementary School She is an election judge who set up the voting machines at the Riverdale Elementary School polling place. She said the polling place was not secure when she left and that others had access to it after she and the other poll workers left. She felt intimidated by the supervisor so she didn't bring it to her attention

7. they hired Techs off the street
but I guess that was a decision of the Maryland SBOE.

The voter supression, yep thats the GOP.

But the machines, the untrained technicians, the poll worker
problems, thats the dems.

People were scared to work the polls, knowing how bad
the machines were, and how new machines had been added
to the mix.

Georgia
2034 Polling Place Problem De Kalb Georgia Woodbridge School No Had to try several times to get proper candidate selected. Others were having same problem. Concerned that ballot wasn't cast properly. Poll workers knew about the problem.

2038 Polling Place Problem De Kalb Georgia McNair MS Yes Voter stated the ballot screen disappeared prior to casting her ballot. She said at least one other voter had the same problem. Voting precinct MP--McNair MS, Dekalb Cty

While on the summary screen, the screen went blank. Poll worker said she must have pressed the green vote button, but she is sure she did not. She is concerned whether her vote counted.

4014 Polling Place Problem De Kalb Georgia Cedar Grove United Methodist Church No he followed instructions on computer, but it wouldn’t let him review his ballot before casting. 1874 Polling Place Problem De Kalb Georgia Flat Shoals Elementary School Yes Voter wanted to vote for Mark Taylor but machine kept showing Sonny Perdue. Voter did not talk to election official about the problem, but after many tries it finally worked right

6. too bad DEMs killed the VVPB bill in Maryland
then there could have been real recounts, short lines
at the polls, and folks could have found out what happened.

But the Democratic State Senate blocked and killed the bill,
out of deference to Democrat Linda Lamone.

Now, there is a Democratic Governor elected, will he
get rid of the Diebold machines that elected him?
