| Will Jack Abramoff spill the beans on HAVA and stolen elections? |
|
Now that Abramoff has earned a desk for his daily four hours of squealing to FBI agents, I keep hoping that he'll get around to discussing stolen elections. The sooner the better, please Jack. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/10/23/guilty-gop-lob...

| 1. Yup, Abramoff was right in the middle of it, passing bribes over Bob Ney's |
|
desk (after they were cleared by the White House, of course), while Bob Ney, Tom Delay, Christopher Dodd and the whole gang wrote the worst piece of crap legislation ever passed by a U.S. Congress up to that point: the "Help America Vote For Bush' Act of 2002. (Ahem...the "Help America Vote Act."). That was the unholy alliance of the Bush Fascists and the Corporate Dems.
And, man, was it dirty!
There's a story that one of the bribes was supposed to go INTO "HAVA" as a rider--but Bob Ney nixed it, because HAVA was too important to risk it. We're talking about a hierarchy of crime here. HAVA was the higher crime. It took priority.
Shrewd of Bob. HAVA still stands, while two of the crooks who concocted it have gone down.
And this may be why HAVA has not yet reared its ugly head in the Abramoff matter. But it still might. And you can be sure that there are powerful "powers that be" that don't want it to.
Christopher Dodd thinks he's going to end as president.
