Finally broke down and cried tonight, a week later....
watching the Tv news, sitting here reading all this stuff on DU, , and realizing that I have not heard of ONE elected democrat official thinking we should be contesting this election. John Kerry could not even wait 24 hours until the last poll closed to jet off on his merry way and dump all of us who put our lives into HIS election. Realized that my county is gonna go all e voting no matter what I think or want, because it saves the government parasites money and they do not give a damn in hell about the integrity of their process to the degree they can ever PROVE it is honest and correct.

just too much to keep in.

Msongs
Riverside CA

Ps - I seriously think California needs to secede. The US needs us farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more than we need it. Even CA president schwarzenneger would be ok with me.

1. I know. I'm heartbroken.
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 12:32 AM by AngryLizard
My heart has only really been broken once before, and It was broken again last Tuesday. And it does seem that everyone's just letting the voting irregularities slide. I mean, Kerry picks up enough votes in Ohio, and he wins the electoral college. Hello? Aren't there any Dems in charge that have the balls to get into this? I was shocked when I heard he conceded. As it is, I'm still shocked that Bush won. I thought for sure we had this one in the bag.

11. right now I have so much anger against the christians who put this
monster back in the white house

had lunch with someone the other day who said kerry worried her because he wanted to change everything

I left lunch and thought - you stupid f**k
you have no health insurance - you have trouble paying your bills and you think bush is ok - your little bubble is not affected by these bigger things

that ostrich crap just makes me so angry

and the 40 million eligible voters who didn't show up election day - although they didn't make it easy to vote

anyone who had to stand in line longer than a hour - was fuc*

I am ticked at this country and the people in it who did not show up

31% of eligible voters in this country voted for as*crap
where the hell were the rest

I am tired of the - he didn't wooed women - or whatever the spin

show up
vote
have a democracy
don't let these religious fanatics take over this country

I can't make people care

I am so heart broken = this is worse than my divorce - I could go on
this country is not the same with crap head in the wh
these nasty christians are not christ people - they have hijacked that name for their own evil ways - I can't stand them or their views

I can not even look at bush without getting sick and broken - he epitomizes evil and death

7. Floridians and Arkansans need you guys...
Without the blue states, we would be Jesusland. However, 40% of Jesusland is made up of people just like the people in 60% of the blue states.

We still need each other, we just haven't figured out how to get the others to follow.

the only one willing to roll up his sleeves in jump in has been Dean

nadar only shows up on election year
and all those other names on the ballots were stupid

I don't feel like paying for their salaries and benefits and pool and health club anymore
they don't want to give anything back

10. This is a legitimate loss...not to be taken lightly

We will all go round and round through the stages of grief. Most people at my work just don't get it at all. There are two others though who are a depressed as I am. We rage against this injustice and betrayal.

Most people on DU are hanging out in the denial and anger phases - me too.

I was disappointed in Kerry at first...but then I started thinking how he must feel the loss 1000 times as much as I do, because he was the Repubs punching bag and the butt of the comedians' jokes for over a year! God, he has been humiliated and had his integrity insulted in the most scathing way -- and stood up more gracefully and graciously than I ever could have.

This is a more realistic red/blue map:

I think four more years of this b.s. should help turn things around....people will get tired of it.

17. People don't seem to want to fight
People I know seem to be accepting the results. They act as if they are resigned to their fate. Even the people who believe there was fraud seem to feel it is futile to fight this. I'm not ready to give up yet!

20. I'm thinking sucession, too.
I'm tired of being held up as the example of everything the rest of those people hate and despise.

I am Californian. I am a Democrat. And I am Liberal.

I haven't cried yet though... but the tears do feel close from time to time. I really don't want to have to say that I'm not an American anymore, but I have to wonder if there's even a choice left.

25. Keep crying..
Seriously. I cried every single day after the election, until yesterday. Just when I think I'm ok with all of this, I hear a song on the radio or I read a post on DU and I start crying all over again. But I think I finally reached the acceptance stage, I hope anyway, because I didn't cry once yesterday. And I'm hoping I won't cry today. I keep telling myself that I need to move on with my life and I can't mope over this or it will destroy me.

And I'm with you about not hearing from the democratic officials. I think that's what pisses me off the most. Not one of them are helping pursue the voter fraud issues. I'm not really sad anymore, I'm pissed.

Hang in there.
