Carteret may try to palm off defective Unilects on other states/victems

County wants state verdict on voting machines

BEAUFORT — The county is again requesting the State Board of Elections test the UniLect voting system in Carteret.

County commissioners proposed Monday that County Manager John Langdon make a formal proposition to the State Board of Elections to determine the reliability of the system.

Mr. Langdon mailed a letter to both the state and to new County Board of Elections Chairman Bill Henderson, asking for his board’s support in the matter.... rest of article here:

3. The Unilect DRE was decertified in Pa. do you have copy of the
Shamos report? And the Unliect is cerified to the 1990 standards so it is not eliglible for HAVA money-- nor can it be used in a Federal election.

4. Unilect part II, tested in PA by "new" examiner
Glenn Newkirk out of North Carolina, of all places.

He is one of those "industry" guys.

These voting machines companies insist on you voting on their defective pieces of junk. They insist!

The good thing about Unilect is the manual edit feature that allows people to change the votes without any real audit trail.
