Judy Woodruff covering 'conspiracy theories' on IP
I felt better not watching CNN, but happened to see this plug for today's show. Curious, have to tune in. It's on now, second story.

14. Democrats do not see this as one of the battles they will pick
regarding Gonzalus for Attorney General.
Gee conservatives are call him a blank slate (if Bush is grooming him for a seat on the Supreem Court). Lots and lots of speculation.

I am still waiting for Judy to chat on the voter irregularities. dah

Making our concern for our DEMOCRACY into some X-Files internet geekfest.

TURN OFF CNN FOREVER!

22. Dismissed conspiracy theory as focus.
And the real problems get buried under that. I'm telling you, we should not be calling it fraud since we don't have that evidence for sure yet. Though they did say it is perhaps worth looking into, that was buried under the tin hat theme.

6. She is the one who said this on election night:
She said what is in the quotes.

New Mexico suddenly changed its votes by 10,000 for Bush around 1:00 am EST as reported by CNN shortly after Bush said he was waiting for the news networks to call New Mexico to make a victory speech. They actually said on air “we don’t understand what happened… the numbers just CHANGED”.

10. first we get to listen to Bush talk of "freedom" again before the voter
story.

He met with Casey the commander on the ground in Irag today--casey said they (troops and the fighting in Irag) are doing well.

"People wanna be free" refrain. "there is a deep desire in all souls to vote in the elections and a desire to be free" (something like that)

on national Television? The media gave "eagle eyed bloggers" credit for catching them. I am very new to this forum. When they started talking about "bloggers" I asked my husband...What the heck is a 'blog'? After Nov, 2 I was so sick, I sought you out. I've been reading and lurking ever since. I can't believe I'm the only one. Would be surprised if MANY are lurking and getting information little by little. Who knows? You guys are great for America

13. Welcome jsascj!
:hi:

You'll find that hanging out here you know the news about three days before everyone else does.

Which has the unfortunate effect of making you sound like a wackball at times, but you do get to say I Told You So a lot.

Also, there is, of course, a lot of BS... but there's some really good stuff there. IMO this story hasn't been entirely told yet....

As Voting Machines Are Checked, Spano's Lead Shrinks
<snip>
"As the recount progressed on Monday, election workers, closely watched by representatives of the campaigns, compared vote totals recorded on machines with the tallies reported by poll workers on Election Night.

Jonathan Rosen, director of the state Democrats' campaign committee, said Berger told him that nearly every machine had a higher count for Stewart-Cousins than was recorded. However, Spano also gained votes, including 80 from one machine, Rosen said."

21. Internet briming with theories---Boston Globe dismissing these theories
Florida, NC (clitch), and OH (isolated insident)
Do they all up to a conspiracy.
JW---no chance of change in who won.
But does it indicate problems?
Yes, there are problems.
JW---easy to understand why there are some problems.

Ralph--requesting a recount--concerned with accuracy of results.
Claims that the final vote INFLATED Bushs count.

Washington Governorship is still up in the air-but the Rep. is ahead.

Rather boring---really did not say much----

18. it';s on now Dan Lothain reporting
GAO to look into voting irregularities, in FL -- optical scans. Been doing this for years.

NC: 4500 lost votes. Officials calling this a glitch.

OH: 4K extra votes for Bush, isolated incident.

Add up to conspiracy? Or is this just post election irregularities?

Judy: Highlite problems with voting in this country?

mainstream reports of voter fraud. It's as though the media is saying see here is a conspiracy theory that has already been proven false.

30. This is how they play it always.
When we bring a story to this high a level, the MSM has to cover it, but their first strategy is to discount and marginalize. All this means is that we've made an impression. The real work is yet to be done. But we'll do it!

33. Judy should watch a real reporter like Keith Olbermann
who is scheduled to do his THIRD story on this subject tonight.

And he doesn't think we're all nuts (and includes himself in this bit)

The most pleasing thing of the last three days of blogs and newscasts is the reassurance from political professionals that all of you (all of us) who have wondered about what went on a week ago yesterday are not necessarily nuts. We might not necessarily be right, but there are some very stodgy, very by-the-book folks who think we’re damned right to be asking.

“Ohio was rife with allegations,” Jonathan Turley said on last night’s show. He’s not merely a superior expert on the Constitution, teaching it at George Washington University’s law school, but back during my first incarnation at MSNBC, as host of The Big Show and The White House In Crisis, Jonathan was a regular guest who regularly said that the investigation and impeachment of President Clinton was largely being done within the framework of the Constitution, and as bad as much of it looked, it was well within the margin of error.

Professor Turley is no partisan.
