2. Of course they are, it's not that it was a non-partisan or anything
Good work getting that info BTW, it always irks me when so many appointees that should be non-partisan are the exact opposite. Having partisan election officials has always astounded me with it's stupidity.

45. Anyone could be "on the take"
One never really knows what a person is capable of. Bribery and extortion could be involved. Fear of consequences (legal, shunning) could prevent a potential whistleblower from coming forward. Party loyalty. Even Pat Buchanan intended to vote for Bush though he considers the Iraq War an unmitigated disaster.

17. Susan Johnson is Republican...
according to this old page at electionohio.com, the board composition in 2002 was as follows:

Director Beverly A. Moore (D)
Deputy Director Susan Johnson (R)
Chairperson Stella Hagemeyer (R) 2/28/2002
Member Robert J. Hammock (D) 2/28/2002
Member Earl Sizemore (D) 2/28/2004
Member Leslie J. Spaeth (R) 2/28/2004

(dates indicate expiry of term of office)
There is the confirmation that the (current) Director is a Republican.

If Earl Sizemore is registered Dem, could we assume that Barbara Sizemore is also?

25. Lots of smoke, but possibly no fire
Boards of Election in Ohio are evenly divided between the two parties, so it would require high-ranking local Democrats (typically appointed by the County Democratic Party) to collude with Republicans to steal the election. Locking down the BOE in Warren County was a stupid idea, but the returns that they're showing aren't out of line.

The 2004 results show Bush receiving nearly the same level of support that he got in 2000, and the increase in the total number of votes cast appears to be consistent with the population growth Warren County has experienced over the past four years -- it's one of the fastest growing counties in Ohio.

The Warren County BOE should be held accountable, and it should be made clear to the other Ma & Pa Kettle operations in the rural counties that you can't just make up the rules as you go along, but I doubt there's anything substantive going on here.

BTW, Les Spaeth isn't related to Merrie Spaeth as far as I know.

27. While the percentages may not seem out of line compared to 00
consider:

in 00 no GOTV, in fact Gore pulled out of the entire state

in 00 Bush was an unknown. In 04 he was obviously incompetant, not conservative AND

GOTV in Warren according to lizzieforkerry was phenomanel. Kerry/Dems/MoveOn and ACT were all over Warren and Kerry yard signs and bumper stickers were everywhere. The new P&G facility is staffed by NEasteners who are educated.

We need to think about how by considering how any caper is pulled off. Misdirection. Prepunched ballot cards and a switcheroo?

43. This is Warren County
This is Bush Country. No amount of Democratic GOTV will help you when 70% of the population is card-carrying Republican. This is the backyard of the VOA Park rally with 50,000 people. This is where all those Republicans from Hamilton County are moving to get farther away from minorities. Getting a shitload of Republican votes in Warren County is about as difficult as getting wet by falling out of a boat.

29. Kerry's percentage of the vote tanked in the overnight hours
Kerry lost more than 5 percentage-points after 11pm in Warren County.

Same thing happened to him in neighboring Hamilton County (which includes Cincinnati).

I have the official data to prove this, too.

39. That means only one thing happened
They realized it was close and started changing the numbers to increase the Bush margin.

My question for the Enquirer is can they find out where are the original ballots, where are they physically... Are the ballots currently safe from theft/vandalism?

I hope the originals don't magically disappear.

unlike the rest of MSM, Olbermann sees the writing on the wall because he has a brain.

I sick of hearing about how we can't win because the National Vote Count is TOO GREAT!! That means NOTHING! This could have been a National Thing!! Bush WAS NOT very popular, and the Christian Right doesn't account for that much PUNCH!!

We need to make this thing NATIONAL! I'm NOT QUITTING because if we do, then we're sunk in 2008 AGAIN! This is what THEY want. They keep DEFINING US... let's DEFINE OURSELVES!! We The People!!

How Do We Get This To The National Level??
