burning Votergate (and other mpeg & mov files) to DVD?
in further attempt to be the media, I want to start burning copies of all the great videos we now have on to DVD and distributing them for free.

It appears that the software that came with my DVD burner does not include a feature to burn mpeg, mov, and wmv files to DVD format.

can anyone suggest a free (or cheap) application that enables this?

1. DVDSanta can burn most formats to DVD
It goes for about $40 and converts most video formats.

You can download a demo here: http://www.dvdsanta.com/

It doesn't let you create title navigation and some other things that are in more expensive software.

2. www.videohelp.com
This website will be able to answer any question you have, from any format to any format. And it has links to all programs that are needed and tutorials on how to use said program.

3. You'd better ask permission before copying copyrighted works.
Infringing copyrights can cause you big bucks. I don't know the penalty for video works, but willful infringement of written copyrighted works can cost you up to $100,000 for each act of infringement, under current U.S. copyright laws.
