3. They are giving a phony explanation for why the exit polls didn't match
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 12:04 AM by glarius
the vote...If the question was asked "who did you vote for?" and the answer was "I don't want to tell you" (obviously they didn't say I'm voting for Bush and I don't want to tell you)....how do the pollsters know whether the voters who wouldn't answer were for Bush or for Kerry?....This is a phony theory!

9. Exactly. HTF did they come up with this theory?
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 12:18 AM by lizzy
If the exits polls were wrong, HTF would they know it was because Bush voters didn't want admit they voted for him? Basically, they have just come up with a phony explanation cause there is no way they could know what went wrong with exit polls (assuming, of course, that the exit polls were wrong).
For this to not be a phony theory, they would have to go interview all those voters again, and have some admit they lied about voting for Kerry, when in fact they voted for Bush. Somehow I doubt they did that.

4. they are trying to "put it to bed" amid the special investigation of
Conyers.... Unless they have HIM on, this is all moot. I can't believe Blackwell is on calling US silly. HIS JOB DESCRIPTION says he is supposed to investigate election issues and questions of fraud, etc. NOT sweep it under some rug saying "nope, there's nothing here." I don't have TV, so I am not watching it.

The Job Description of the Secretary of State in Ohio: http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos /

The Duties on the Ohio Secretary of State website state:
Chief Elections Officer
As Ohio's chief election officer, Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell oversees the elections process and appoints the members of boards of elections in each of Ohio's 88 counties.

He supervises the administration of election laws; approves ballot language; reviews statewide initiative and referendum petitions, chairs the Ohio Ballot Board, which approves ballot language for statewide issues; canvasses votes for all elective state offices and issues; investigates election frauds and irregularities; trains election officials and reimburses counties for poll worker training costs. {emphasis mine}

The Elections Division compiles and maintains election statistics, political party records and other election-related records. Statewide candidates' campaign finance reports are filed with the office, together with the reports for state political action committees (PACs), state political parties and legislative caucus campaign committees.

The Secretary of State's office also licenses ministers to perform marriage; registers alien land; and issues apostilles, which are certifications verifying signatures on documents going out of the country.

All laws passed by the Ohio General Assembly, municipal charters, administrative rules adopted by agencies, and all executive orders issued by the Governor are filed with this office, as well.

6. Koppel is a POS corporate whore
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 12:02 AM by proudbluestater
I gave the corporate media 20 minutes of my time, and lived to regret it.

Who IS this Democratic pollster who kept sneering at the "die hards"?
Why did they not talk to Zogby who posted an article about the exit polls on his site saying "something smells fishy"?

Why did they NOT interview those people like the folks from the Free Press instead of some douche bag from the Columbus Daily Rag?

Any mention of LAWSUITS being filed to show some legitimacy in our claims? Nope, nada. No word of lawsuits. No interviews with the Greens, the Libertarians, Cliff Arnebeck.

No mention of Conyers and the judiciary committee hearings? Not a WORD? No word of the 250 page report that was distributed to all members of Congress?

Icing on the cake: interview with Kenneth ne'er do well.

What a freaking sham.

See, we did investigate!!! You lose! We delight in screwing you over once AGAIN! Whaddya expect? Our sponsor tonight is Ford who is anteing up a big bundle of cash for the coronation tomorrow! You want the truth? Man, it's gonna COST you.

7. Stanley Greenberg isn't just some random
pollster.

He owns Democracy Corps which is a pretty decent outfit and was President Clinton's top pollster in the WH.

14. Come on! What DID we expect? The fact they had to cover it to deny it...
means they're on the DEFENSIVE.
Remember the Gandi phrase: "...then they fight you. They you win!"

I fully believe why they had to cover this IS there is going to be such HUGE demonstrations nationwide that are going to be impossible to ignore with signs that say "Election Fraud"..."Not Our President."
Come on folks, they chose to cover and debunk the story the night BEFORE the Inaugural...so as to diminish (or "reduce dissonance") what MSM and the general public will be seeing (many for the first time) tomorrow.

We got them running now. The more they HAVE to cover it...the more we get the curiosity of those not yet informed.

Come on Ted Koppel...and O'Reilly...we're ready!
