I mean, it's not like he got a personal briefing a month prior to the attacks warning that bin Laden wanted to attack, he wanted to use planes, and was targeting New York. I mean, that would have been pretty specific. Enough that maybe after the first plane hit the WTC that he (or SOMEBODY) would have instantly made a connection and ordered ALL air traffic grounded and any wayward planes intercepted.

No, good thing he didn't get any warnings like that. 9/11 was thrust upon him despite his best efforts.
