Rep. Conyers NO LONGER NEEDS a million e-mails.....
Edited on Sat Jan-01-05 09:58 PM by TheDebbieDee
sent to the judiciary committee.

He feels he needs the e-mails sent to the revised e-mail address below:

http://www.thepen.us/contest.html

You can copy and paste in this sample message:

I am writing to urge the House Judiciary Committee to hold
hearings as soon as possible on the irregularities of the 2004
election. I need not remind the Judiciary Committee members that the
United States is a beacon of democracy for the rest of the world. If
we truly wish to remain the embodiment of democratic values, then we
must treat the right of every citizen to vote and for their vote to
count as sacred. Ample evidence has arisen that this right was
violated or undermined for many Americans in the 2004 election. I
strongly believe that holding hearings to investigate and resolve
these irregularities would be an act of tremendous patriotism on the
part of Congress, and would serve as a declaration that we are the
world's greatest democracy not only in word, but in deed.

Thanks, everybody!

10. Are you sure?
I just got this e-mail from Democrat2008@yahoo group early this morning and I thought I would pass it along to DU.

If Conyers has really asked people to stop sending e-mails then I'd like to know. Thanks.

15. What does your post mean?
I went ahead and emailed, but now I'm wondering if I should have. What don't I know?

BTW, when I attempted to put in my state, it had left out LA and there were two ME's. This has never happened to me before. Anybody else?

4. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
The Judiciary Committee has asked that we NOT DO THIS.

That email address is to be used for reporting of election fraud evidence.

All the email is making it impossible for them to find the important information.

They are already involved and don't need more convincing. DON'T SEND EMAILS HERE, SEND THEM to your Senators.

Go to http://www.thehill.com and enter your zip code in the "america speaks" sidebar to get contact info for your elected reps. Or see one of the other recent threads for contacting Senators and Congressmen with your concerns about the Election Irregularities of '04.

24. Ahh hell, we've been fucked by the Republicans before and we . . .
will get fucked by the Republicans again.

We will sit on our asses and continue to let them bully us and ask them how far exactly do we need to bend over so they can fuck us again.

Then you use some racial slurs (I don't do that so I'm not going to lower myself at this time just to get a moderator to pay attention).

There ya go. Now the moderators will remove them all.

First you use nasty words. Then you say they are related to someone. Then something racist, sexist, anti-Democrat and then they fly across the boards and run searches for such foul language (Now I'm just a guessing this is how the Gestapo does it here).

Then they come along and CENSOR, CENSOR, CENSOR quicker than you can say FCC.

22. HE DOES WANT THEM, JUST NOT AT THAT ADDRESS
It is still vital that we contact our representatives. The only problem was that was the incorrect use of the email address.

We are asking people to use this online tool to contact your reps, senators, and the committee all at once.

that is truly creative with regard to where to send the e-mails.

I knew somebody would come up with something better than deleting or locking the thread. :-)

27. The Judicial site has TWO contact pages
One is to merely contact them
http://judiciary.house.gov/contact.aspx
Which is the address you provided DebbieDee

One is to report fraud
http://judiciary.house.gov/reportfraud.aspx

Why they can't take letters of support on the regular one just doesn't make sense.

Who runs the THE PEN website anyway? How do we know our requests won't go in the trash along with those democratic voter registrations in Nevada, Hmmm?

and got a automated e mail from my local rep Barbara Lee
Thank you for contacting our office. Rest assured that your opinion will
be given serious consideration. Please accept this correspondence as an
acknowledgement that we have received your communication, and that we will
thoroughly review its content.

We appreciate your input and suggestions regarding legislation pending
before Congress. Congresswoman Lee reviews these recommendations and
takes constituents' opinions very seriously. Throughout her political
career, constituent concerns have shaped the Congresswoman's decisions
when casting a vote or sponsoring legislation.

and heck, all the emails I send out and all the armchair underground stuff I do, I'm probably on their blasted list already. At this point I stopped worrying. This is way too important.:D
