The Corporate MSM and its role in the fraud
We have enough proof of CNN, MSNBC and perhaps CBS involvement on the fraud.

FOX is a given since they were part of the fraud and theft in the year 2000, as we know.

Why is it that some of you ARE WAITING FOR THE CRIMINALS TO REPORT ON THEIR OWN CRIMES???

Don't you understand that the management of these networks is just trying to kill the story while they can?

They are hoping and asking "God" for this thing to go away! I'm sure they want another tsunami to happen somewhere...

To put pressure on CNN is key here, IMO.

And BTW, to try and get Zogby to talk more often would be really good. He called the election for Kerry at 5 PM on November 2nd, BECAUSE HE TRUSTED THE DATA HE WAS RECEIVING THAT DAY.

Zogby would have never made such a gamble with his career and reputation "just because he felt like doing something fun" that day!

1. Do you think Keith Olberman will survive?
He looks really cautious and tense when reporting on the fraud. Has he been dressed down by MSGOP management?
If the scandal breaks wide open and Dumbya resigns, can Keith be retro-installed as TIME's man-of-the-year?

2. He will, but he already said thay he is playing using "strategery"
That would be "strategy" in "*" world.

Olbermann is walking a fine line and he is taking a risk!

10. Olberman is using MSNBC and vice versa
Edited on Fri Dec-31-04 07:57 PM by McCamy Taylor
Have you guys seen the documentary "Weapons of Mass Distraction" about the MSM complicity in selling the war with Iraq to America? If this one gets an Academy Award nomination for best documentary or even an oscar, the TV news people are going to look really bad. Much worse than they do now. Lots of journalists are vain, and they do not like to be associated with outfits that have bad reputations. It would be really easy for someone like Ted Turner to come along and snatch up all the bright thinkers and form a news network that would not have that "I sold my soul to Rumsfeld" taint.

Anyway, I think MSNBC (which comes off looking as bad or worse than FOX and CNN in the documentary due to the Peter Arnette Freeper incident which they sort of laugh off.) may be trying to CYA with Olberman. If Votergate becomes a breakthrough story, they can boast "We were there first, covering it when the other guys were afraid to." Olberman, one of the bright thinkers, knows he is being allowed to do something that other journalists are not being allowed to do.

The problem with the line MSNBC is walking is that everyone knows that they have the exit polls. They need to put up or shut up.

3. The first fradulent activity....
Allowing and enhancing deceiptful, dishonest information from the Bush campaign was the first fradulent activity by the media. The media was complicit in distorting Bush's image, Kerry's image, and how issues were framed.

This is not an insignificant part of this whole mess.

Fradulent advertising.

4. I agree
The whole Corporate MSM complicity and the media joining the "Sift Boat Crooks" did not receive an adequate response from the Democrats.

They should have made clear thay they wouldn't talk to anybody in the media doing the hit job for "*"!

5. Raul, CNN gets its material from the print press. That means,
the nytimes, the wp, -- all the papers Aaron Brown reads in the last few minutes of his show.

We get in *there*. The networks comb those sources for news, for approved propaganda.

To complicate: Cr@pNotNews also gets White House email and faxes, probably to spin what comes off the wires, the major outlets like the NYT.

Imho, this has to be a two pronged approach: 1) to the NYT and their eschelon, 2) directly to CNN. But hitting on #1 will yield more. Again, just my two.

Take heart. Remember the surveys that show people are foregoing television for the net? Revenge :)

8. I see your point and I agree.
But, we need to make sure that they understand that we know they are receiving and repeating WH talking points.

I have made my "personal crusade" to go and target Wolf Blitzer. That's going to be fun...

He'll receive a piece of my mind very, very often.

Oh, when the "swift boat crooks" were attacking Kerry and CNN made a hit piece on Dan Rather and defended "*" "record" on the TNAG, I wrote them an email to demand they pull out a FALSE representation of the facts that they dared to post on their website.

After 2 hours the item was gone!!!B-)

11. 'Way to go. Check out www.bushvets.org. My circus people
friends did that.

My pet project is the hapless reporter at the SF Chron who isn't reporting what he clearly knows and Mr. Okrent at the NYTimes. Why not?

Many points of entry if we use our brainpans.

Happy New Year,
Beth

14. The worst thing they did, by far, was fiddling the Exit Polls on 11/2...
It's the worst journalistic crime I've ever seen, bar none.

Exit Polls showed Kerry winning all day on Election Day. Then, instead of running the two numbers for comparison--the pure Exit Poll results, which showed the Kerry win, vs. the in-coming Republican controlled electronic vote tabulator "official results, which showed a sudden, weird turn to Bush--some time late in the day, they started mixing the "official results" into the Exit Poll figure, making it look like Bush was winning both. He wasn't. The Exit Polls were a prime indicator of fraudulent "official resuls."

Americans were denied this information. In the Ukraine, they got to compare the figures, and immediately knew something was terribly wrong.

Forgive Americans for not knowing this, and therefore not reacting! For the most part, they still don't know it, because, as you say, the networks are covering up their own collusion.

As with Iraq WMDs, it takes time to get the truth out, given BushCon news media, war profiteers all. Let's hope Jan. 6 helps inform people. CNN at the least should cover the Congressional proceedings.

And blog on, and talk to people, and write to your email lists. The truth will win in the end. It always does.

(I think we will want to do some well-organized, highly focussed divestiture and boycott actions on the news media soon after this is over. They are supposed to be serving the public interest, using our airwaves. They are doing just the opposite.)
