19. No. I didn't watch them before
and I'm not watching them now. They make me sick. I hate network news coverage so much that I go into a blind fury if I watch it because of the fascist spin. Unless I get a head's up that something will be on like the Dan Rather show about Bush's NG service, I only watch CSPAN and Daily Show and radio: Air America Rocks.

Rating the ones I hate from the most vile to the least vile:
Fox
CNN
NBC
MSNBC
CBS
ABC
PBS (except for Bill Moyers)

It's not like we're going to miss anything accurate, truthful or insightful. Hope the media is paying attention--they're losing a LOT of potential advertising dollars.

I have company today who wanted to channel-flip this afternoon...on every freakin' cable news channel, I was subjected to REPUBLICANS giving advice about what's wrong with the Democratic party. There was even a right-wing bitch from the NY Post, complete with Brooklyn accent, explaining what the 'heartland' wants, like she's ever fucking BEEN there. I wanted to hurl my shoe at her head.

The smugness, the bright glowing demon eyes...oh god, it was just vomit-inducing. I'm just going to program this shit from my remote to avoid a situation like today again. Believe me, you're all better off to have not watched today.

I had watched it a lot before and had gotten very upset at spin.

Went to IA in June to celebrate my son's wedding; I was there 3 weeks (without TV) and felt great. Just didn't turn TV on again.

One exception: did watch TV ca 1 week after 9-11.

60. I echo the sentiments here - I watch the Daily Show.
Perhaps the Weather Channel. My husband watches the Sci-Fi. I watch Al on Sundance. Listen to Air America. Have stopped watching all cable news.

Read the Nation, the American Prospect, in addition to our typical blogs and foreign newspaper news sources.

Stopped watching a couple of months ago.

It has only been sporadic for about a year now anyway (cable news).

Never been happier, with the exception of the last few days, which were sad.

I had my big cry. Now I'm going to rest a bit. Then I'm getting back to work, supporting those orgs and efforts that I respect and admire.

Thank the Great Spirit for D.U. Thank you all. I'd never have survived without you the last few days.

I've had it with the media. I lay the blame for this largely at their door. Even with the voter fraud that we know happened, * should have been pulling single digits for the debacle that has been his presidency. If the media whores had a SHRED of decency Bush and his evil cabal would be in prison where they belong.

I've started listening to BBC at night and I want to make a primitive shortwave dipole atenna to get European News. I'm tying up the phone too much surfing the Net. Anyone know if Radio Peace in Costa Rica is broadcasting shortwave again? Maybe we should take up a collection for them. They were driven out of their station on the campus by a new NeoCon President. maybe I'll post the story.

81. Daily Show, BBC (on bbcamerica)--& local news this AM.
KHOU-TV (CBS in Houston). Hey, I needed to hear the weather forecast.

They did present a bit of national news. Their summary of the election results: There are 4 million evangelical voters, Bush won by 3.5 million. "Moral values" won the day. That's it. Now, on to the sports news.
