Bush still the POTUS: US donation to world disaster = 2 Iraq hrs.
That's right, today Bush is still the President of the United States of America, and we are spending about $ 150 million per day to murder Iraqis.

Meanwhile, since an unprecedented global disaster has just occurred in SE Asia, the United States of America immediately contributed $15 million in aid, about 2.4 hours of our spending in Iraq.

How can we stand to have this piece of shit as our President tomorrow ?

1. Off the top of my head i guessed 6 hrs; guess i was too generous to *
Let's see what the final amount turns out to be; whatever it is, i'm sure it will be a further disgrace to the moral character of America and its 'leadership.'

2. Much too generous: about $3 million in the last 1/2 hour......
...to murder Iraqis, which = 1/5 of the TOTAL US contribution so far to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in SE Asia.

4. There's a convenient measure for money: One Iraqi Hour. . .
One Iraqi Hour equals ~$6,250,000. What a great measure for government expenditures!

"I don't know if I can vote for that water bill -- to clean the arsenic out of our wells would cost about $18 million."

"Well, that's only 3 Iraqi Hours. . . surely we can afford that."

"Wow. . . to keep the libraries open in town will cost about $9 million. Where are we going to get that kind of cash?"

"Whatta you mean? That's less than 1-1/2 Iraqi Hours. All we need do is refrain from blowing up libraries in Iraq for a little longer than it takes to eat lunch and we'll have the cash."

What a remarkably useful tool this will prove to be to throw the war back in the face of those who cannot see other alternatives.

6. Great Idea: A New Measure of Money !!
UPDATE:

The U.S. Agency for International Development is adding $20 million to an initial $15 million contribution for Asian earthquake relief as Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - web sites) bristled at a United Nations (news - web sites) official's suggestion the United States has been "stingy."

TRANSLATION:

The filthy fucking Bushitler administration has now made a truly magnaminous gesture: US spending for this incalculable human tragedy has now been doubled!! It is now approaching 4 IRAQI HOURS !!!!

This new measure of Bushitler currency helps us realize how the virulent flesh-eating virus of the Bushitler Dynasty has infested our body politic, and how critical it is for us to surgically remove this shit.

17. You can also add to your totals...
the military mysteriously getting ill after receiving the vaccines the military administered. I have a 22 yr old brother that began having seizures after signing on. Given a medical discharge. They will not provide medical. They say it is preexisting. He was very healthy prior to signing on with them. He has lost two jobs. Seizes sometimes twice a day. Is in terrible debt. And has no medical to cover the expense of the medicine he must stay on to keep the seizures minimal. This administration WILL FALL. Too many crimes.

21. History proves, when people get to the place...
where they cannot survive under foot anymore they fight to survive. It is my hope that we would never get there. But we have let this all go on too long. The system is saturated. It may be too late to change it, but for certain to let it go on further can lead TO NO GOOD. I hate to sound dramatic. But we are coming into dramatic times.

...What a friggin' hypocrite! You'd think Bush would at least see the self interest in at least being perceived as a humanitarian. What a myopic dolt.

10. bush is not the least bit interested in how anyone perceives him
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 08:06 PM by Straight Shooter
Little Boots is a sociopath. He has made that plain from the beginning. Only those who stand to gain from him are in support of him. That includes Christians who think an evil Christian voice in the Monkey Palace is better than a Christian who does as the Lord prefers, and that is, to worship quietly and without boastfulness.

bush doesn't give a rat's ass, because he was born of privilege and entitlement, and I cannot get his supporters to understand, he does not care about anyone but himself.

edit: I love the idea of the "Iraqi dollars per hour" as a measure of the value that bush assigns to human concerns.

12. We have spent a great deal of money in Iraq but not that much.
Where did you get a stat of $150 million a day? Its important, not because I want to defend * but because I don't want members to run off using that stat. If I'm wrong, I apologize but it is an awfully big number.

13. HARD TO BELIEVE, BUT IT IS TRUE:
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 08:53 PM by Shalom
There are lots of ways to look at this: for example, Bushitler is about to "ask" the US Congress to approve another $80 BILLION for Iraq and Afghanistan for 2005: this works out to be almost $7 BILLION per month.

As such, the current spending rate of $4.5 BILLION per month to murder Iraqis alone is a good estimate.

Remember that a BILLION = 1,000 MILLION, so this turns out to be $4,500 MILLION per month to murder Iraqis.

If you divide $4,500 million by 30, you get $150 MILLION per day to murder Iraqis.

Now it is a simple matter to divide $150 MILLION per day by 24 to get approximately $6 MILLION per HOUR to murder Iraqis.

Using this new unit of currency (the "HIMC", the "Hourly Iraqi Murder Cost"), it is easy to compute how either the first US offer of $15 million, or the updated offer of $ 35 million for aid in SE Asia only amount to several HIMCs.

HEIL THE FLESH-EATING BUSHITLER DYNASTY !!
MAY THE REICH OF THE BUSHITLER DYNASTY LAST FOR 1,000 YEARS!!

22. Typical, isn't it?
Considering how many dead, how many innocent lives lost.

$15 million. Compare that to his, what was it, $40 million inauguration.

"Pro-life" president*, indeed.

25. Even Washington Post Echoes Complaints of Absentee Tyrant Bush...

Aid Grows Amid Remarks About President's Absence

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A32337-2004Dec28.html

Although U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator Jan Egeland yesterday withdrew his earlier comment, domestic criticism of Bush continued to rise. Skeptics said the initial aid sums -- as well as Bush's decision at first to remain cloistered on his Texas ranch for the Christmas holiday rather than speak in person about the tragedy -- showed scant appreciation for the magnitude of suffering and for the rescue and rebuilding work facing such nations as Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
