According t o the Florida Sec of State Website - very few
provisional ballots have been counted, and absentee ballots in Democratic Counties i.e. Broward, and Palm Beach still need to be counted.

Take a look

3. There are millions of provisional and absentee ballots across
the country that still need to be counted. Could the Dems be biding their time until the votes have all been counted before they start making some noise about who really won?

6. A question about final vote tallies:
If all absentee ballots have not been counted, then how can the county declare their results as "final"? I'm talking about the two "yes/no" columns.

I can understand:
-No (absentee) and -No (final count)
-Yes (absentee) and -NO (final count) = provisional ballots

but how do you get:
-No (absentee) and -Yes (final count)

are there circumstances that Florida can legally declare they will NOT count absentee ballots? (Besides the 2000 election)

9. a question about final vote tallies
Stinks to high heaven...on what basis was Florida "called" to begin with, without a complete count. And how do they justify 11 days before giving a complete count?

13. Zero Prov for my county????
Hmmm... I believe there were 18 just during early voting. And I know I seen one when I was voting. And heard of plenty of others.

These numbers are BS. Either that, or the local SoE isn't adding them in correctly or something.

14. provisional ballots and absentee ballots
I was watching on my tv the supervisor of elections in palm
beach county they were sorting out the provisional and
absentee ballots, which were valid and which was not.

When they will count will probably be as soon as they sort all
that out. So they will be counted eventually.

17. Only...
Slightly more than 8,000 provisional ballots. That won't make a difference.

As for the absentees, there is no way there will be a 400,000 vote difference for Kerry. That's just nuts.

18. absentee and provisional ballots
There are a few other counties that did not count their
absentee ballots also on that website.

I do not know if it will make a difference or not, only time
will tell.

22. weren't there 1.6 million absentee votes in Florida though?
My idiot sister in law is a Repuke, but even she'd be upset if her absentee vote wasn't counted. Of course, she isn't a crazy far right neocon Republican...she is one of the money grubbing weasel Repukes...

20. Kerry got less votes than Gore in Miami Dade - after ONE WEEK OF LINES
in early voting - 5-8 hours. easy , if the votes were flipped by the machines.

24. Interestingly, PB County web site
lists total turnout at around 62 percent, very close to the turnout in 2000. It just ain't so. Who do they think they're kidding? The web page hasn't changed since around midnight on election night. It is amazing - huge turnout, people standing in lines hours after 7 p.m., everyone recording record turnouts, and it is the SAME AS IN 2000??????

25. Can't tell much from the webpage you gave
That page isn't very revealing. They must have some preliminary numbers from the non-reporting counties elsewhere.

But I have a question related to this: Does anybody know how many ballots remain to be counted nation wide.

I saw an article that said 6 million that was later revised to just over 3 million in the NYT. It also said that the uncounted votes were mostly in California, Washington and Oregon. These are Kerry states. We can hope that Kerry gets the bulk of these and brings this closer to a tie in the popular vote.

I want it to stand out that Bush was the most narrowly re-elected incumbent in history.
