Green Party's Cobb says GOP donors concerned about voting machines...
Green Party's Cobb says GOP donors concerned about voting machines, notes bogus NAACP letter that mirrors Rove tactics
http://www.bluelemur.com/index.php?p=503

In an exclusive interview with RAW STORY, Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb expressed concern about broad attempts made to disenfranchise voters in Ohio, and asserted that even Republican donors are concerned about the manipulating of voting machines.

Cobb raised allegations of voting machine tampering by Hocking County elections official Sherole Eaton at a public hearing Monday, which was reported in the New York Times.

Possible tampering, according to Cobb, has large Republican donors very concerned. While they will not go on the record, Cobb said they wanted a transparent and honest election.

Cobb enumerated myriad issues in Ohio which have gone largely unreported. He cited longtime voters being taken off rolls, bogus letters and attempts to keep African Americans and college students from voting.

1. As well they should be
Assuring voting integrity is a non-partisian issue. It could be argued that only the crooks in either party would be in favor of voting machines without paper trails and hanging chads, etc.

2. Cobb's part in this stinks

at Conyers' excellent hearing, Cobb stood out, in my view, as being the least credible one there.

Now he's talking about how worried his GOP donors are?

When it comes to having straightforward, transparent, fair elections, what the fuck do I care about republicans who support a Green in order to split the dem vote, and about a Green who allows himself to be used that way?

edit: and there's something funny about the BlueLemur, and the Raw Story.

3. *sniff sniff*
I, too, was taken aback at Cobbs' presentation at the hearing, but I sort of chalked it up to the fact he had an audience and he was going to take advantage of it. Bad timing, though.

I'm also getting a little tired of all those who tear down Kerry in order to build themselves up. This recount house needs all the pillars to hold it up, instead of one pillar trying to undermine and knock out the other.

As for blue lemur, ehhh, a little of this, a little of that. Haven't figured them out yet. Kind of sensationalistic is my take on them.

4. cobb was part of the green faction that didn't split the vote
Cobb helped convince the Greens at their convention not to support Nader in order for the Greens not to be used by the Repugs to split the vote. Cobb was only on the ballot in non-battle-ground states. How ironic that it is the Greens and not the Dems who are championing democracy!

5. I agree, Cocoa
This is placing a question mark, in my mind, on his recount efforts. Is he participating in order to discredit the dems?
