1. uh
don't we already have about 3 or 4 lawyers who are taking care of this? i don't understand why we would need to fax something to a lawyer we dont' even know.

also, what is the point for all DU members to fax the same shit to ONE person? so they can come back later and ask us to please stop, just like what happened with Conyers Office?

i don't think so.

we have Cobb, Conyers, Arnebeck, Truitt, Kerry's lawyer, and more who already know about this and i'm sure they will present it in their case.

Did you mention thousands of repeated faxes? This will cause complete havoc in the office. Is this the idea? If so, it's a terrible idea.

7. remember a week or two ago
someone came on here and said that Conyers ASKED for us to send him a million emails? so everyone did.

then this past week, they relayed a message for people to STOP flooding them emails, their mailbox is full, and that they are already working on all of this so there was no need to keep on them.

I am not sure about this process. Just heard about it, but you can fax stuff over the Internet at "Fast Fax" or "Free fax".

do you have a URL for info about the cheat sheet? I only recall someone testifying about a number being put up on a wall for the recounters to view. If there is a paper with numbers on it, please provide a link to an article.

9. 2 questions to think about
1. Who was the person asking everyone to e-mail Conyers? Of course millions of e-mails will back up his mailbox, and urgent info. will not get through.

2. Is the "cheat sheet" around anymore? Was it written on paper & stuck on the wall? Did anyone photograph it?

I already faxed the office,

here is a sample:

CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL MATERIAL FOLLOWS. PLEASE DELIVER THE DOCUMENTS TO THE ADDRESSEE IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU!

December 17, 2004

To: Larry E. Beal, Prosecuting Attorney Hocking County Ohio

Fax Number: (740)-385-5922

From: XXXXX(insert your info here)

Number of Pages: 1 total.

COMMENTS: This is in reference to the investigation that is going to happen on Monday, December 20, 2004. I understand the Triad employee that was mentioned in the sworn affidavit by Ms. Eaton, is going to have to do some explaining about the modifications he made on the voting machine in Hocking county. I would request that your office also investigate the statement made by Ms. Eaton in regards to the “Cheat Sheet” that was placed on the wall once he was done with his modifications on the voting machine. I as well as hundreds of other people are very interested in this “Cheat Sheet”.

Thank you for your time and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXXXX(insert name here)

17. info on the request for emails to Conyers:
the original request, as posted on DU on 12/13, came from the Yurica Report. i have just written them the following - sending them, also, my email to Conyers' office about this:
***

dear Yurica Report folks,
on 12/13/04, i received my copy of your (excellent, always!) email
newsletter. in it was this message:
>
Here's another way you can help:

Copy and paste the following letter into this web-site

http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/contact.html

and tell the Judiciary Committee you want hearings on Ohio!

Rep. Conyers needs your help!

Rep. John Conyers feels he needs a million e-mails to compel the House
Judiciary Committee to hold hearings about the 2004 election. Spread
this message among your list of liberal friends and associates. Go
here:
>
*****
i later found that same message posted at Democratic Underground.
two days later there was a kind of demeaning letter from Conyers' aide
posted, saying they had NOT asked for "a million emails."

people need to know. will someone there please find out where the original
request, quote came from?

i wrote this to Conyers' office, yesterday:
>
Dear Representative Conyers,
For your sake, and the sake of your email box at the Judiciary Democrats
site, i need confirmation from you on this question:
Did you say that "a million" emails would help advance the cause of
investigating election 'irregularities'?
and
Did you say that our emails to that site are clogging the email box, and to
stop sending them, to write republicans, seeking election reform, instead?

you see, we got both messages, which seem to contradict each other, so we
need to know which you would like us to do.
>
*****

today (12/17) i received this from that aide:
>
Dear Writer,

I don't know where this mention of a million emails has come from; however,
we have received several thousand just from people sincerely wishing to
thanks Mr. Conyers for getting involved in the voting irregularities in Ohio
and elsewhere. Unfortunately, you can have too much of a good thing and
these emails are beginning to bog down our system. I cannot tell anyone not
to write us, which would be an inappropriate thing for any public office to
ask, however what I am asking is that people use discretion when sending out
an email. Restated, would a letter to a Congressperson who doesn't believe
that voting problems exist be more influential to helping fix these
problems, than a letter to a Member who is already working on the issue.

House ethics rules prohibit Congressional offices from getting involved in
grassroots politics, so I can not clarify what Mr. Conyers would like the
public to do. If you care strongly about any issue and your
Representative's views differ from your own, you should contact your Member
of Congress and urge them to support your position.

Sincerely,

Matthew M. Thome
Representative John Conyers, Jr.
Legislative Correspondent
>
****

will you please help clear this up?

thank you!
xxxxx

******

anyone is welcome to re-post this in its own thread, as so many want to know about this. i will post whatever reply i receive from the Yurica Report folks.

peace!

24. You will tie up the fax machine!
This does not sound credible -- if everyone faxes, the fax machine will back up. Sounds as if perhaps someone does not want something to get through.

I hate to sound untrusting, but this faxing crap is NOT reasonable. Attorneys are handling the matter and I am sure that our side would not want everyone faxing the same stuff.
Think people - use your heads.

27. Since this is a fax and not email, should we consider that maybe less
is more? If we bombard them with faxes, then the fax phone won't stop ringing, they'll have to keep reloading paper in the fax, the fax will probably jam 20 - 30 times, etc. and they'll probably start start hating us pretty quickly! I agree that they should be aware of the situation so they can file criminal charges, but maybe fewer faxes would be better than more faxes.

We can always start a petition and sign it and fax that over, if we want them to know how many people are concerned. I think they would appreciate that more. :7

37. disagree
I work with law offices all of the time and they prefer faxing as to emailing because it is more official.

Even congressmen and Senators prefer faxing for the same reason, they feel that if you take the time to fax then it is a little more important than an email, and anyway the secretary said so herself, call if you don't believe me.

call the office yourself if you still don't believe # 740-385-5343

Why are you all fighting this so much??

36. Why does it need to get there today?
Why not mail it, if its so important? It will still get there, maybe even tomorrow for those who live close...

I'm not sure why asking someone to be sure that the Cheat Sheet is mentioned is such a big deal anyway? I mean, I want to know more about the "heavy coat" and the fact that he just happened to have a "spare" battery and that he was left alone for over an hour with a machine....

ALL of which, I'm sure are being investigated by the lawyers.... (including the cheat sheet)

I just want to make sure that they focus on the items you mentioned as well as the one(s) I mentioned.

Does a "cheat sheet" sound like fraud? it does to me.

The discussions on K.O's show and the articles in the Post and Times do not mention the cheat sheet, but the affidavit does and so does Truthout, it can't hurt to make sure that all basis are covered on this one!

Lots of reminders about The Cheat sheets. Of course the lawyers have talked to THE witness. Maybe the evidence is destroyed and the repugs would like us to concentrate on the cheat sheet in order to distract from other things.
