Katrina Sumner, Greene County - followed, run off road
The following has been received in email. The names were included at the express authorization of the senders.

Dear Michael: Forwarded to you is Katrina Sumner's testimony that she emailed me. This is part 1. Part 2 will be sent in a separate email and contains info that intimates that she is being followed. She was one of the two people listed as contacts for the 10 December Press Release regarding the Greene County, Ohio Recount Block by SOS Kenneth Blackwell. She has been extremely active in the recount process here in Montgomery County, Ohio. Read this and then the next email.

Teresa Amesse, Former Chair of Montgomery County Kerry Edwards Phone Bank

...

Last night I spoke at a meeting where Susan, Bob, Jesse and the Rainbow Push group, among others were, by request of Cliff Arnbeck. At the end of that meeting I gave my affidavit to Cliff that will be used with the case presented this morning in Columbus, and for further action in Greene County (which will come later). The two others will appear at the hearing today to give testimony so I'm sure you will be able to read their testimonies at some time. Below you will find the affidavit in part below.

Katrina Sumner, having been duly sworn and cautioned, states and affirms as follows:

...

(affidavit at link http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/ohioaffidavit.html )

LATER FOLLOWUP EMAIL

Thank you so much!!!!

Each encouraging word is like a block of strength right now. Last night I was returning from Columbus and was scared out of my mind. First I've been getting calls from a man that has been able to tell me each and every place I've been or roads I've been traveling on (a group of 3 other women heard this while driving me to meet Jesse Jackson and Cliff Arnebeck last night, having the call on speaker). Then while driving back I was ran off the road by two dark blue Suburbans(?), bigger than 4 runners anyway, with dark tinted windows. They came up behind me with their brights on and then one came to the side of me and ran me into the ditch off I-70. I saw as they sped away that one had a Maryland license plate, but in the heat of it all I couldn't get the plate number or even see the plate of the other one. It's becoming apparent to me that someone is not liking what I'm doing. So thank you much cause I truly need the encouraging words.

Katrina Sumner

53. Actually, if you think about it, this is the very cause that many, many
people gave their lives to protect. I'm not saying I want to die on the road because of a redneck in a giant SUV, but the cause is definitely worth it. My kids WILL grow up in a democracy.

190. She should be followed by media now
sometimes the best protection is a camera. If she can't get the media, she should always be with friends and always have a camcorder ready. Can you imagine what the media might have done with footage of the Pro-Fraud Republican terrorists running a Pro-Democracy activist off the road? Well, probably nothing unless she was naked at the time. But it might make it onto "America's Most Dangerous Car Chases".

Tell them - the worst that could happen is they will print a story about paranoid people telling them about cloak and dagger stuff.

The worst that could happen is the generation of interest.

56. Karen Silkwood
died on November 13, 1974 in a fatal one-car crash. Since then, her story has achieved worldwide fame as the subject of many books, magazine and newspaper articles, and even a major motion picture. Silkwood was a chemical technician at the Kerr-McGee's plutonium fuels production plant in Crescent, Oklahoma, and a member of the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers' Union. She was also an activist who was critical of plant safety. During the week prior to her death, Silkwood was reportedly gathering evidence for the Union to support her claim that Kerr-McGee was negligent in maintaining plant safety, and at the same time, was involved in a number of unexplained exposures to plutonium. The circumstances of her death have been the subject of great speculation.

58. IIRC, Silkwood found problems while working at a nuclear facility
First they "accidentally" exposed her to radiation when she began voicing her concerns, and eventually because she persisted in attempting to bring the truth out, she was run off the road and died in a motor vehicle accident, single-car.

There is a movie out about her courageous efforts and heroism. It is well worth watching.

199. i don't expect HER to, but i can imagine
myself getting so wrapped in this that i would wind up in over my head fast. i can imagine this b/c for folks like us, we BELIEVE in the rightness of our position. so, for folks like us, once you get in, you're not going to back out easily -- then you whacked like silkwood -- then you become a hero.

yes, it is worth dying for. does anyone set out to die for their beliefs? how about the young men and women in iraq?

i'm just saying this is how people become accidental heros. this is a hero-making thing. this poor woman doesn't deserve to die -- no one does -- but this IS worth dying for. much more so than cigarettes or fatty foods or a shitty stressful job.

155. I hope you are kidding. Ridiculous.
The police are not in on it. Give me a break. Even if one member of the force was, that doesn't mean they all are. I guarantee, if that force has more than five officers, one of them would talk. So all the more reason she should go to the police. If an officer is told by a superior to ignore her report, rumors will fly and the story will be more publicized.

I don't get people who believe that entire institutions are in on a conspiracy, and that not one of them ever gets a guilty conscience and peeps a word.

Now, what I WOULD believe is that Blackwell sent some guys to give her a fright so she'd back off.

176. What about the conspiracy of all of the Democrats on the county BOEs?
Each county in Ohio has a borad of elections consisting of two Republicans and two Democrats. With 88 counties, that means that there are 176 Democrats who serve on those boards. And not one of them has stepped forward to speak out on the stolen election. If they can control 176 Democrats, they can certianly control an entire police force.

He died in a car crash. I'm not saying he wasn't run off the road. I wouldn't be surprised if he was. But we should be careful about not stretching the story beyond the available facts.

Meanwhile, what can we do to help Katrina? Anyone have any ideas?

We should send someone up high a strong message that we are watching her back. How do we do that?

137. Olbermann should know about it
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 11:41 PM by ailsagirl
His blog today made the goings-on in Ohio sound like the Keystone Kops-- in fact, he might have used that term. For those of you too young to know what it means, it's just the image of a bunch of bungling cops falling all over each other-- it's a funny image. But there's nothing funny about an attempt made on one's life.

He should know-- even if he doesn't publish it-- so he will see that this is SERIOUS stuff.

Just my opinion-- does anyone agree?

128. Possible that they are tracking her with GPS?
She said they can tell her everywhere she has been or every road she has been on.

My guess is that either they somehow put a GPS device on her car or she has a cell phone with GPS and it is on.

My friend's work gave him a Nextel cell phone and told him the GPS was not enabled, but contrary to what his boss said, he was able to ping his cell phone and tell where it was (gave him his house address).

With GPS, even a hobbyist would be able to tell her where she has been and what roads she has travelled.

195. GPS not required
The Inappropriate Government Agencies can do a fairly good job of tracking the location of a cellphone without GPS...signal strength of the cellphone at different nodes can be used to calculate a position, a fancy form of triangulation. The wireless phone companies have the capability of doing this, but it's unlikely they'd do it on their own, without a request from the government.

An (relatively) old trick...buy a bunch of prepaid phones at random wal-marts, have random volunteers turn them on (or use false information when doing so...prepaid does not require credit, so no check is done, to my knowledge, on information), use them until the time runs out or until you call someone you think is being monitored, then throw them out and go to the next one.

148. Thank you, Katrina, for your work! Three safety measures...
I hope Katrina sees this, or someone passes it along to her.

Katrina, you are a real American hero, and I and many other people are profoundly grateful to you for your work. Please know that we are all with you in spirit wherever you go! There are thousands of us cheering you on, and millions of Americans who would thank you if they knew what you were doing.

During the voting rights campaign in Alabama in 1965, each of us had a card in our pocket with the phone number of a local ACLU lawyer, a number to alert the voting project headquarters in Atlanta of any trouble, and an FBI number. (In those days, we believed that, with a President in the White House who supported voting rights, we had federal protection. You may not want to trust the FBI these days. I wouldn't. )

My point is that we were organized and had backup for dealing with emergencies, since our lives were always in danger. Three civil rights workers had been slain in the South the previous summer, and still, in 1965, there was intimidation, followings (by both local sheriffs and white thugs), phony and scary arrests, and the constant threat of violence.

The most important safety factor is to have a network of people knowing where you are at all times--people at each end of your travels who are waiting for you, or who expect you to contact them when you get there. Another is NOT to travel alone--the bigger the group the better. A third is to create an alert system--it's easier these days with cell phones--a phone number, that, if you call it, it instantly signals trouble--whether you can say anything or not.

These are three simple things you can do for your own safety--and it sure looks like EVERYONE working on Election Fraud in Ohio should be advised to implement these and other safety measures.

ALSO: the groups, organizers and attorneys who are involved should actively take on the security issue, and provide information, advice and backup. DON'T LET PEOPLE SHINE THIS ON! It is very serious.

And, yes, Congressman Conyers, and other persons in positions of power, should absolutely be notified that this has occurred. The whole blogging community now knows about it --which is much to the good. Publicity is most definitely a safety measure.

Something others have pointed out in this thread--that you should remember: The work you are doing is extremely threatening to the criminals who stole this election, or these thugs wouldn't be trying to intimidate you.

Please know that we are hugely admiring of your courage, and we are WITH you!

First, no more phone numbers and travel plans on the gawddamn internet where the nazi wolves are watching!!!!!!!

This is a matter of life and death and BIG POWER at stake in the election so don't be naive about who we are up against.

1)Travel in groups and several vehicles.
2)Police report with evidence from vehicle contact and witnesses.
3)Tell all the press possible. THIS IS A STORY THEY CAN RUN WITH!
4)Keep up the good work and SURVIVE. THEN TELL THE STORY LOUD AND CLEAR WITH EVIDENCE.

This is too important to fuck up AND get killed over.

If you are fighting these assholes don't go into it thinking that good will will win the day. Take care of yourself.

They are trying to intimidate you at this stage. Having a Smith and Wesson in easy reach will give you a sense of calm and them something to think twice about if you fire off a few rounds when a situation develops.

You expect a woman with a handgun to go up against a couple of tinted-window monster SUV's with Maryland plates?

That would be suicide. Whoever's in those vehicles are certainly trained and armed men who would take her out in a second.

Your sense of calm would be a false sense of security.

I would suggest she drive always with another car or two escorting her, as many witnesses as possible, with videocameras ready to go all the time.

And have her car inspected for a GPS device. They probably planted one on it somewhere.

If you want to be a pacifist, that is your prerogative, but we do not have to be victimes. Defending yourself is an option if one chooses to use it. For me I want anyone who treads, or attempts to tread, on me to know I will fight them anyway I know how. If they act thuggish they need to know I will shoot them. We have a right to defend ourselves.

166. Teresa... Looking out for me?
Very sweet. I haven't had the chance to get to a secure line today else I would've called to check in ;)

A copy of this post was sent to my email and I didn't want to leave people worrying. I didn't realize that there was so much talk about me going on here. Actually I wasn't aware there was anywhere. In any case to clear up a few things I read here...
The part about being with 3 other women.. that was in another car while I was in Columbus.
The being driven off the road.. happened on my way back to Beavercreek in my car. My car nor I had any damage, just to clear that up. I came to a screeching halt sliding slightly in the gravel at the edge of the road which took me into the grass of the ditch. It wasn't a deep ditch of sorts, so nothing major there.
No police report was filed. Why? I think that could only hurt me more than do any good. My friends have always said I'm the lucky one because I never tend to get pulled over when I get into a little speeding frenzy, however lately I've been pulled over almost every other day. So I have my suspicions since I'm either given verbal warnings, written warnings (neither of which came with any reason), or just Sunday finally given a ticket for what I was told my windows are too dark and I have to get them replaced before going to court. So joy ;)
Do I have a bodyguard? No. Will I employ one? Highly unlikely, I've wasted away loads of funds already on all of this.
Do I find that risky? Even after this running off the road episode I wasn't thinking so. Only since emails and phone calls were proven to be getting intercepted after having some tests done have I began to get a little more paranoid.
GPS? I'm not sure about my car and I'm hoping I don't become so paranoid to think about that, but well who knows. My phone, being a nextel phone does have GPS and it is on. Previously I thought that was a good thing. However now I'm questioning that, but I'm wondering if the bad outweighs the good.
Surveilling the BOE... the rest of my team is not finding this important and they think my time could be better spent elsewhere. Even though I'd love to be home in bed each night all cozy, I do not quite agree since I believe it's very necessary to make every attempt to keep the building secure. Why now? Because is it ever to late? Also I've been requested to do this by someone credibly requesting.
Do I need help with the surveillance? More than you know. Half the time I'm not getting volunteers out there and when it's coming so close to the recount day I have a lot of training meetings to give and I have to prepare myself because I have full intentions to challenge the staff in every which way. They are already mad so I can't see why it's time to be nice. I'm scheduled back out in a few hours since I have nobody to cover from here on out so far. This appears to be a job nobody wants, even when the people asking it have offered to pay people.. incredible when someone who doesn't have a job and needs money doesn't take the job of sitting in a car (sarcasm included).

I'm not sure if I missed answering anything else, but now you all can ask me directly I suppose. Forgive me if I don't respond to quickly though.

Thanks for all the concern and I'm glad there are people out there that feel as passionately about this whole election as I do.

Noname contacted one of the lawyers, and was told to call the FBI. Apparently noname called the FBI and they told her to call the Sheriff's Department of where I live. Noname gave up before doing that.

So I think it's useless to be honest. And, there's no point in making a fuss about it really. It's when you do things like that they stop taking you seriously. It's the general thing caused by too many crying wolf I suppose. You have to wait 'til a wolf eats you first if I get it right ;)

Noname was a fool - since this is a voting rights issue, the FBI should take a report. Also, I don't care how kooky anyone thinks you or the others are, file reports with the police or sheriff and anyone possible when these type of things occur.

This is no game, and don't let them tell what they can and can't do, they have to follow the law.

thugs. If they are connected to the BFEE and the repuke party, THEY ARE DANGEROUS! This is not something you should take lightly. At least report that you were run off the road by a SUV with Maryland plates and let the police hear your messages that say where you have been. Let them know you are being stalked. Stalking is a crime in itself. I wish you could have someone with you at all times...a witness to events and for protection. (saftey in numbers, so to speak) Someone big and burly would be good! Big and burly and ARMED. :scared: Don't take these threats lightly please. Reporting that you are being stalked (you have evidence) and you were run off the road is NOT crying wolf. Everyone will be sorry they've been calling us "dissidents" in the press lately when it turns out that we were right. Katrina - I would prefer to PM you but can't.
I sense a wee bit (more than prudent) of a cavelier attitude about the harrassment
you're incurring.
It makes me wonder if perhaps the reality of these scare tactics are too
scary to allow you to take them seriously enough (as I think would be in your
best interest - as well as your loved ones).

OTOH, perhaps you're just too busy to take the suggested precautions.
It's folly not to - and hard to believe someone isn't pulling you from
your surveillance perch to take an hour off to document with authorities
what is happening to you.

This is the part I find most hard to believe - that someone up there
in Ohio is not insisting you do so.

Take the time to file reports - take those who heard the threatening
phone calls w/you to make their own statements.
Don't be intimidated from doing so, if for example an officer of the law
tries to minimize and say something like "no crime was committed - I
can't waste my time w/you lady." Insist - go higher up the chain - demand
to have a report taken.

And don't go anywhere alone. We're all gonna die, but who wants to die
with regrets?

193. Take this SERIOUSLY
I see a lot of people NOT taking this threat seriously...the Bushites will stop at nothing to lie,,cheat and steal what they can--when they can.

We had problems like this in NYC and NO ONE listened. People had their children threatened and their elderly relatives harassed. What are people waiting for? If we do not bad together NOW for protection the Bushitlerites will not be stopped.

203. I will when she files a police report
Until then, this just seems like a transperent attempt at attention. Yesterday was supposed to be the day that this story was supposed to hit it big in the media. But it didn't. That makes me suspicious if no police report is filed.

as many witnesses and documentation as possible. Sorry, folks, I know what cops have to put up with. It's just not a go at this point. The cops themselves have no back up and will probably mess up their career if they help her.

200. run off the road--and hit squads
This is par for the course for the bushitlerites.

They have their black-operations squads out there to squash any dissent amongst the people. How many have died under mysterious circumstances? People need to be cautious as hell---otherwise the bushies will get them.

We are THISCLOSE to exposing all their fraud and deceit----to close for us to make a stupid mistake and get hurt.

We have a job to do---and we need to be at 120% to do it

I also read somewhere that he died of gunshot wounds (more than one?). How is that possible in a suicide?

something has to be done to protect all witnesses. I think I am going to write the International monitors.

In general, that they should not release their final report before they have checked all the facts surrounding the Conyers hearings and the Ohio recount, which in my view is obviously so tainted it probably makes no real sense except to be an effort to log evidence of fraud.

Maybe it's the email Katrina is talking about. Here it is:

Subject: Katrina Sumner

Mr. Rivero,

There is an idiot at Democratic Underground that thinks your post about Katrina in Greene County, Ohio is a Rove hoax.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

I know you much better than to post a hoax by Karl Rove. How do I get them to take this seriously?

Thank you.

Thanks, Katrina. Stay safe. Special thanks to Mike Rivero.

214. I'm going 2 be as quick as pos about this and I'm sorry I can't keep up...
with these posts today. I have training sessions I must give for people for tomorrow. My whole team has changed over night. I'm finding it difficult in trusting people at this time.. I'm not going to hold that in and not afraid to bluntly say it, not even to those that smile in front of me and pretend to be helping (no direct offense to anyone here btw). Sometimes how blunt I can be can be seen wrong.

I had been trying to keep a very low profile since Nov. 3rd. Unfortunately photos ended in papers here and there, and shots of me at rally's on local news. Those happening over the first couple weeks after the election. It wasn't until the Dec. 4th at the symposium in Columbus did I break out in front of cameras and demand for the panel to hear me on the issues happening in Greene County, primarily CSU.

Since that time, I've had numerous volunteers doing odds and ends of work at great lengths. There's been issues of where some have gone off to without leaving any way to contact them. This has been noted to officials and others I DO trust.

On Dec 4, 2004 there was a posting to CASE Ohio's list, by Joan Quinn asking if anyone needed help in Ohio. I gave her my contact info. She contacted me approximately an hour prior to the symposium convening. Last Wednesday, Dec 8, her and Eve Roberson flew in. At that time I gave them information I wanted focussed on considering investigations me and my prior team had been working on since Nov 3.

On Friday, Dec 10, 2004, they found additional supportive information to my investigations. The excitement for them was incredible I would guess. Friday evening after speaking with attorneys I realized if I didn't do a press release that Joan and Eve would. We, myself and others previously working on this specific information wanted to keep the information being taken to the public as limited since too much information would only hurt us in investigating and make us more noticable and transparent, thus too far in view of ones we didn't want paying attention.

Sat Dec 11, 2004, bypassing my pleas to not send out more information or call more attention to the investigations, Joan sent out further press releases while I was monitoring the BOE over night.

Since then, a public speech was given at the rally in Columbus on the 12th bringing it more to light, just on the day prior to the hearings. I can not say how much I regret that this had to come out this way.

My fear for tomorrows recount is 1) the BOE staff will do everything possible to now not allow me and my team to seek recounting on the precincts that I was wishing to push for since those precise precincts were released to the public. 2) there will backwash since I have been forced to change my team with all candidate staff behind me, that those who have been released will go public and rant bringing more attention and negativity and causing this to me questionable. 3) prior team members will make attempts to continue my efforts on their own which may very well cause harm to those who have helped me. 4) added and added attention only makes them watch us more and it will detour my efforts to get people to come forward I'm holding in the background.

I could go on with this list but I feel those are most important.

About security, police involvement, etc:

the FBI were notified, they said take it to County Sheriff's Dept. That's just not going to happen. I have previous experience in government covert operations for those that may wonder why all the secracy. No! I will not post that information nor answer questions about it. If security/bodyguards/etc were to be used I wouldn't know who to use. People that I trust are entrusted to my personal affairs while I can not focus on them for focusing on all of this. So meanwhile, I do have my cameras however I do not think if something critical would happen would they be of any use. Guns? Good and all, but in training you learn not to pull the trigger until the attacker is in arms distance.. not good if you're doing other things and not watching ALL the time (unless of course you have some particularly nice gun with sights and all). Do I believe that all that is needed? I suppose I'm trying to tell myself that it can not be that insane. However, I'm not blind to the possibilities. I did speak with counsel this morning. We discussed the issue of the FBI shrugging it off. We will see where that goes. Until then, there is work to be done and it can't be stopped now when the recount will be begin for the county tomorrow morning.

I hope you're safe and I hope in the end it all does some good. I'm so afraid that all of the hard work being done by you and others is not going to pay off in the end. Shrub will be inaugurated and all of this will be swept under the rug. We can't let it happen!

Take care and be safe.

218. Curtis's dog gets whacked and now this!
Edited on Tue Dec-14-04 01:00 PM by Vinnie From Indy
Wow! I have so many questions about this event.

Firstly, I would hope Katerina moves beyond thinking people are "apparently" trying to dissuade her from talking. If she was surrounded by large SUV's with tinted windows and MD plates and then forced off the road by these vehicles, I think she can reasonably conclude that these mysterious men are "actually" trying to kill her.

I hope she filed a police report. It shouldn't be too hard to find two large SUV's with tinted windows and MD license plates stalking around in rural Ohio. Did this occur in a county or locality that is Democrat controlled? Is the sheriff a Democrat? I think she can be assured that there are undoubtedly a few cops in Ohio that are Democrats and not part of Rove's evil legions.

What did her caller ID say on her cell phone? Did the mystery caller only call to tell her he knows where she has been or did he specifically tell her to shut up about the election? Did he have a Texas accent? If the mysterious caller she was talking to was able to pinpoint her exact locations throughout the day it sounds like a Lo-jack device or something similar was fixed to her vehicle and probably still is. Has she had anyone look? Also, she must be really, really close to something that will bring Bush down if the hit men are going to track her using a device that could easily be found and then tell her about it. These hit men appear to be ultra-dangerous because they are taking such enormous chances. Granted, Rove could be tracking her by satellite.

Has she warned the other people that were with her at the Greene county BOE? Have they also been threatened or attacked? Maybe she should warn the GLIB members and others involved in the recount to be on the lookout for SUV's with MD plates. I would advise her to carry a camera at all times from now on and I would immediately have the vehicle inspected for a tracking device.

for the election result to be flipped. What could more dramatically characterise the wickedness and criminality of the people who have defaced this election? What kind of country would knowingly, countenance and endorse their strong-arming of this federal-election result? A victory by hoodlums.

Incidentally, it seems that Italian law is finally catching up with the fascist hoodlums in the Italian police who layed into the protestors at the anti-globalisation rally so murderously, a few years ago - singing fascist songs, if you please. I don't suppose they thought they needed good PR, either. Untouchable. We shall have to see.

I'm VERY relieved that you are alright. I don't mean to diminish your suffering but you have proved that the other side is fearful. Just like a cornered animal, they are responding with threats and attempts at intimidation. Protect yourself by whatever means necessary but never yield! The truth will set you free!
