7:30 EST: Where We Are
Polls have just closed in Ohio and WV. Obviously, all eyes are on Ohio, but the results will take a while to come in. Kerry can win the race without winning Ohio -- but, obviously, we'll all be breathing a lot easier if he wins.

Bush needs about 75 EVs from the states that have now closed; Kerry really only NEEDS 3, but we're expecting and hoping for 23.

1. People are still voting in Ohio.
If you are ON the line at 7:30pm, you are still allowed to vote.

2. That's true.
That's one of the major reasons why reports will be a while coming in.

3. ohio voting
This is what I know about SW Ohio where I live:
the lines have been very long at most polling places.
I just got a call from someone at dem headqters in Warren Co.
They ran out of ballots in Franklin, Oh.
Waiting for more to come. They are hoping everyone who wants to vote, they are calling folks and telling them that if they are in the actual voting roomwhen the polls close they may be kept open. So try to get in the room and not wait outside, crowd in.

4. CNN has called WV for Dubya.
But they're still holding off on Ohio. And it could be a loooong time.
