From the editors of Chimp's hometown Texas newspaper (regarding the importance of the recount in Ohio).

------

"The time is now to draw a line in the sand -- to give not one inch, one millimeter, one vote toward the cause of skewing this election. This recount, no matter the outcome, conducted properly, is a necessity for democracy to prevail. Without it, America can never trust another election."

Editors, W. Leon Smith and Don M. Fisher, of The Lone Star Iconoclast

2. These are not just reporters...
they are the editors of the newspaper in Chimp's "hometown", and they have been badly harrassed since endorsing Kerry for election. They are true patriots (check out their well written editorial of endorsement).

An email of thanks for their support of an honest electoral proccess and American democracy would be nice. It is a tiny newspaper, and they have taken a big 'hit' from local advertisers, etc. for their honesty.

3. Here's the letter I just sent them
Dear Mr. Smith and Mr. Fisher:
Thank you so much for your brilliant editorial concerning the 2004 election. As a Floridian, I know what it feels like to watch an election get stolen right in front of your eyes. I don't understand why the Democrats didn't fight back in 2000 but I applaud you and others who are fighting in 2004 - for our freedom, democracy and integrity.

Consider me one of the team and I will never surrender!

Respectfully,
Deborah
