I know, I know -- leave it to the people to judge for themselves, after it's aired -- but this is just downright cruel:

The story's been all over the news in the states -- and most decent-minded people (myself included) are simply appalled.

Apologies, again, for yet another example of Yank assholery.

1. I think you got it right saying that the people can judge for themselves.
I don't think SBS is in the business of censorship.
99% of their viewers are very capable of thinking for themselves.
I'll watch the episode and get back to you.

2. I don't watch South Park
I find it mindless and vapid. However, I am even more passionately against censorship, so rather than call for the episode to be banned or whatever, I think I might take the high road that so few Australians seem to take nowadays and just NOT WATCH THE DAMN THING.

3. Which is a protest in itself.
Not watching, I mean.

I'm not suggesting everybody attack SBS in an attempt to keep the episode off the air -- that is censorship. Me, I don't watch what I know will offend my sensibilities -- but I do let the network in question know I'm not watching, and why... as I did with the "Myth Path to 9/11." That's what I mean by protest.

8. Hey, I could let them know I will be watching and why...
Given that SBS wouldn't give a toss about who is or isn't watching what or why, firing off emails to SBS could become an alternative for people whose employers block sites like this http://www.bored.com/ ;)

5. I'm appalled
that a satirical show has been all over the news, I would have thought US viewers have bigger issues to think about.

6. No. If South Park didnt make such an episode, there would have been
an Australian ready to make one. Aussies have a very warped sense of humor.

7. Right after I protest about the Scientology episode, and the episode about....
..and on and on and on. South Park's main purpose in life is to be as offensive as possible. Nothing and no-one is immune from getting the South Park treatment so I fail to see what's so appalling about it. As for protesting to SBS, I hope anyone who'd be thinking of doing something like that would seriously think about the fact that their ultrasensitive sensitivities shouldn't and don't dictate what the rest of us can and can't watch. No-one's holding people down and forcing them to watch tv...
